Since we have a bit of cooler
weather here, I decided to bust out this fabulous faux suede
dress from Eloquii for
work a few days ago.
It can be so uncomfortable to
dress for
work in the hot
weather.
Even in cold
weather I still enjoy wearing my
dresses and skirts, so layering is key to make it
work.
I have similar pants I've had and think I'm wearing them for Easter if the
weather doesn't
work for a
dress.
-LCB- Though one might associate crinolines (aka, pettiskirts) with full skirted summer frocks, they actually
work extremely well under cold
weather skirts and
dresses and provide an excellent layer of padding between you and the elements (something our petticoat loving foremothers knew well!).
And now, as California
weather gifted us with another gorgeous sunny day, I am wearing this Ann Taylor little white
dress to
work.
Lace is very on - trend right now (I even saw an adorable eyelet lace
dress at Old Navy yesterday) and I really wanted this sleeveless
dress to
work for colder
weather.
I tend to stick to
dress pants for
work during the colder temperatures, only wearing skirts and
dresses for certain occasions,
weather - permitting.
Yes, I missed out on the Cartoon Paisley scarf, but nonetheless this scarf is just as gorgeous and I paired this with the G2000 purple shirt
dress to
work and got plenty of compliments!I will try to snap pics of the other two pair of shoes tomorrow, should the
weather permit (if there's enough natural light!).
Speaking of warmer
weather, I remember that one of the most frustrating things about getting
dressed for
work in the summer was the extreme difference between the super hot temperature outside and the freezing cold temperature inside the office.
I like how you made these

weather we are going to have in LA... I have so many exciting things happening this week with
work starting with a fun little meeting over high tea and some couture lingerie later today.
I mean it's sweater
weather in the AM but by the time you get off
work you're dying to get out of your clothes which makes getting
dressed a struggle, at least for us Northerners.
So I realize not everyone will have the
weather to wear a maxi
dress when the bump is at its biggest, but while you can, buy them and wear them because they're something that will
work later on so you don't have to buy them from the maternity section.
Whenever I want to wear these
dresses in cold
weather, my sued jackets
work perfectly.
And while I stocked up on fall
work clothes during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I can't justify wearing a long - sleeve wool
dress in 90 - degree - 100 % - humidity
weather.
The sleeve is the perfect length for in between spring and summer
weather and the
dress is easy to throw on and run out the door in, while still looking put together for
work or daily errands.
So
dressing for the
weather has been a bit challenging, wearing a light Trench Coat is my secret, it keeps me warm as I head to
work, but isn't overbearingly heavy.

weather cities, and paired with strappy sandals this midi piece is perfect for sunny destinations.
It can be hard to
dress for cooler
weather, especially on days that I'm
working.
I styled this
dress over jeans in the summer but I wasn't sure I could make it
work in colder
weather.
I needed a
dress (Okay, maybe I didn't need a
dress, but I really wanted one) that could be both
weather - and
work - appropriate.
