While we don't mind eating leftover supper for breakfast and leftover
lunch for supper we eat a variety of foods depending on the season (the vegetables
in our veg
box change every
week so we get the variety without too much planning on our part) and how we're feeling — so if we're cold and tired then we prefer cooked food and when it's hot we enjoy plenty of raw foods.

It means once a
week «
lunch box dinners» where the entire family pretends to eat
in the school cafeteria!
Over the past several
weeks we've been discussing foods to pack
in your lunchbox, but today we're gonna make those
lunch boxes even more awesome!
The
Lunch Box crew checked
in with The School Food Project of the Boulder Valley School District this
week to see how they are going to celebrate.
Bliss: I totally agree — we are also a household
in which nothing is «off limits» and although dessert is only officially sanctioned on Friday nights (as part of our Shabbat meal), believe me, my kids are getting plenty of treats throughout the
week, whether from school handouts or from goodies I sometimes slip into the
lunch box (like pudding, cookies, etc.) or from other people's homes.
Maybe they won't eat a healthy
lunch box meal every day of the
week, but replacing cafeteria food with a healthy meal from home can do wonders for their health, how well they concentrate
in afternoon classes, and the amount of energy they have left when they return home.
The Laptop
Lunch box is one of my favorite sets
in my collection and I use it at least a couple of times per
week.
This
lunch also works great at room temperature so save all those leftovers and throw them right into
lunch boxes later
in the
week.
I have noticed
in the last few years that I start out really well with
lunch box ideas, but as the
weeks go on variety begins to lack and
lunches start looking the same from one day to the next!

in general, Davidoff is spending a ton of money trying to get people like me and The New York Times to write about its arts initiatives, and I guess it's working because here's a story
in the Times that mentions that Davidoff is «selling humidor
boxes designed by the French artist Lison de Caunes, at 19,500 euros apiece» at Art Basel Hong Kong this
week, and quotes a Davidoff executive at a
lunch at Art Basel Miami Beach saying some mindless PR nonsense like «Art is part of corporate social responsibility» — and here I am writing this thing about Davidoff where I mention Davidoff a dozen or so times.
I'll also put a note
in my youngest
lunch box this
week.
