Luckily, the forecast shows at least one more
week of summer heat, so there's still hope to get a few more things checked off my summer bucket list!
But before we can start enjoying hot cider and apple picking, Mother Nature has a few more
weeks of summer heat in store for Chicago.

It has been an unusual
summer... first the cold wet start
of it and then the
heat and then storms... seems I had to run around and unplug everything every
week or so... just disruptive to our regular routine... but we got the hay up without a drop
of rain on it... so our record is now 5 years in a row
of putting up good hay.

of the kids are out

week International Siberian Shelf Study discovered numerous areas, spread over thousands
of square miles, where large quantities
of methane — a gas with 20 - times the
heat - trapping power
of carbon dioxide — rose from the once - frozen seabed floor.

of the 20th centiry and then peaked in about 1985, together with a 20 - 30 year
heat lag (since it remained high until 1996 as well), and oceans take a few decades to equilbrate, (the same as
