book on Reinhold Niebuhr, a theologian and realist political thinker during the Cold War, in last

I get through at least one a
week, often more, and I
review these
books for pleasure, usually
on Amazon, sometimes
on Goodreads (a site that's hailed as social media for readers, but to be honest I find it a frustratingly clunky site so don't go
on there that much — and as it's now owned by Amazon, it may only be a matter of time before my Amazon
reviews are accessible from Goodreads anyway).
Rick Riordan of Percy Jackson fame is launching a new series, the latest Sookie Stackhouse
book is is out and more — it's a big
week for
reviews and features
on BookPage.com!
I've been sitting
on this
book review for
weeks, needing to chew so many things over before I put it into words.
There was a query this
week from a member of my Linkedin Group Marketing
on Amazon asking how to get his
book reviewed before he starts using his KDP Select free promotion days.
But for the biggest impact, try to get as many positive
reviews as possible posted
on Amazon during the first few
weeks your
book initially appears
on Amazon.
Each
week I plan to buy a new Kindle
book from an inide author and then post a
review of that
book here
on my site.
I'm glad you focus
on entertaining your readers because as a
book reviewer, I've had to turn down a couple of
reviews this
week because of low quality and wanting to charge anything for it.
6) Price Well — launch the first
book of your new series at 99cents; get some early
reviews on there by handing out
review copies before launch; buy some ads for the first couple
weeks at that 99cent price point.
Within the first three
weeks of release, I have over twenty
reviews,
book excerpts
on major sites, guest blogs with dating related content, three radio / podcast interviews and an event at a local bookstore.
Based
on my
book's good
reviews and steady sales, Amazon invited me to participate in one such
week - long promotion late last November.
