Most habits (dietary and other) can be both created and broken within approximately three weeks, so a three to four
week sugar detox is even better.
I recently did a 3 -
week sugar detox and honestly, my brain feels better.
Fast forward to my 6
week sugar detox which required me to cut out fruit (just for the 6 weeks), I realised my beloved pancake recipes would need a sugar free makeover too.

I may eat mostly good food most of the time, but the amounts of
sugar and sweets and oils I eat is causing me to heavily
detox after not having them for a
week.

Second, I started the Autoimmune Protocol about 6
weeks ago and last, I went on a
sugar detox with my RESTART class so I have not had any
sugar for the last two
weeks (only a green banana, half a grapefruit or a green apple for fruit each day).
Another home
detox remedy is drinking a lemon drink in the morning, add lemon to warm water.This will help your body with detoxifying.Eating apples are also great as they contain fiber which will sweep all the toxins out of your system.A good idea one
week before starting your home
detox is to eat a healthy diet with no fats, low
sugar and salt so that your body will be ready for the full home
detox.

weeks, you were sick at the site of kale or anything green?
I am back from the holidays, and the next few
weeks are all about
detoxing those sorry
sugar cookies and chocolate macaroons out of my blood stream!
Bottom line: You will feel hungry, you will have
detox pains (like headaches from
sugar withdrawal, etc...), but with each passing
week it gets easier!

While my rational brain knows that I should have some pulled pork and roast carrots with butter instead of a tub of yogurt eaten with a spoon, there is no rationality in the first
week of a
sugar detox.
