Frequent snacking OK, this one may seem like a no - brainer, but many of my
clients snack when theyâ $ ™ re not hungry, sometimes
because theyâ $ ™ ve heard that eating small frequent meals is best for
weight loss, and by the end of the day theyâ $ ™ ve just simply eaten too much.
Though there is some
weight loss for many (and even significant amounts for others), many of my
clients don't lose as much as they would like to (perhaps
because it's so hard to strictly adhere to it).
I don't like to focus on perimenopause
weight loss with my
clients, simply
because I believe there are far more important things to worry about when it comes to our health and frankly, our lives.

Very true Tom, I have always wondered why people make things more complicated than it is... There is so much confusion out there, I feel I'm repeating myself to
clients because they go away and come back to me with another argument, ive now incorporated mental focus into my programmes with
clients... I'm a strong believer in getting your mind right and the
weight loss will follow.
I do recommend
weight loss clients to work on building muscle strength (even if it actually adds a bit of extra
weight)
because their metabolic rate will increase.
As for juice fasting working
because of calorie restriction, my issue is that the only effective, successful
weight loss regimen is one that is a lifestyle change, and that is only possible when the
client is being taught WHY they are doing what they do.
Juice fasting doesn't make it apparent that calorie restriction is responsible for the
weight loss, it's supposed to be some magic mumbo jumbo and I hate that
because it causes yo - yo dieting due to the
client having no clue why they're losing
weight, other than some misinformed idea that they are «detoxing.»
I don't do traditional
weight loss / diet prescribing
because the research (and hundreds of my
clients» experiences) clearly shows that it is not effective.
