You're creating the illusion of trying to get in touch while being able to blame the lack of real connection on
weird phone issues.

phones have
issues here, but it's not unheard of for a modern
phone to have some
weird issues here (* cough * the original Pixel * cough *).
The severity of the
issues in question range from minor problems like
weird ticking sounds and the odd handset being shipped without an OS installed, to major
issues like OLED burn - in that occurs after just a few days of using the
phone.
I have a
weird issue when I turn them on where the music falls out every second or two like a bad
phone call for about 15 seconds before it clicks and stays strong.
We didn't encounter with any
weird ghost swipes or grouping
issues as many affordable
phones sometimes exhibit.
Personally I've used this to RMA a Pixel last year, which suffered from a
weird hardware
issue, all done effortlessly through the chat on the very same
phone.
The only
issues we noticed in our time with the
phone was a few
weird touch responses, where swipes or scrolling gestures would be interpreted as distinct taps.
