gameplay improvements were a
welcome change and the new split screen is an essential new addition to Lego games.
The core
gameplay remains as compelling as before, although Obsidian made small and

gameplay starts off with placing furniture, but quickly evolves into something more - place a house on the world map and cycle through seasons to see what you like - house can modified with different roofs, doors, colors and more - every animal unlocks new furniture for you to use - completing a lot of requests is vital to getting a lot of content - characters will react to everything that you place and remove in the house - three pieces of furniture must be in or outside of the house and these need to implemented into the final design - if you don't follow this rule, your animal customer will not approve - add wallpaper, carpets, lamps, signs, music covers, paintings and much more - by completing special objectives in the office, which you pay for with Play Coins, you can even expand the feature set - set background sounds, choose curtains,
change up furniture, display fossils and get a bigger variety of fish and paintings.
It's a small but
welcome change to the
gameplay, although it does seem to have come at a slight cost as the dialog doesn't feel like it's as good at dropping hints as to what you need to be doing as the original, sometimes leaving you bumbling around until you accidentally wander into something helpful.
Soaring about the puffy clouds with a hail of bullets awaiting all enemies was always
welcomed and yielded very nice
changes of pace, which ultimately kept the essentially simplistic
gameplay from getting too stale.
This is a significant
welcome change from having to manually equip each weapon type in the original release, though this style of
gameplay is still optional.
The
gameplay of Fear Effect Sedna can be the cause of most frustration, despite being a
welcomed radical

Not too much have
changed to be honest, since the release of Lost Planet 2, the game is still a third person shooter and you are still freezing your nuts off, however playing as the main protagonist, Jim Peyton actually feels like a positive happening as Mr. Peyton is very likeable right from the beginning and continues to improve and grow on you as you progress through the story, and when you have a protagonist in which the player cares for them the game manages to get more enjoyment out of the overall
