I love the way that some people on here love to put a positive «spin» on everything in some transparent attempt to cover up
wengers obvious failings.
Not exact matches
It should be
obvious by now that
wenger ain't going to deliver what the fans want to see... He is seething with rage with what Ranieri did and has
failed miserably to do for a dozen years and wants to prove he can win top trophies on the cheap
As far as this transfer window is concern if
wenger fails to buy players for the two
obvious positions i.e striker and defensive midfielder, then he is no more the right man for ARSENAL.
Reading the thread on this article and I noticed a lot of people naming strikers we could have gotten in past transfer windows that have gone to other club and
failed, Balotelli, Falcao, Martinez, Boney etc are recurring names in all the comments, and am sat here thinking because they
failed in thee clubs does not necessarily mean they would have
failed if we had pulled out our fingers and hot them back then, Balotelli aside I strongly believe all of these players could have made a difference playing infront of our midfield and given the kind of attention and care
Wenger gives Giroud and Walcott, adapting our play to suit them and giving them chances after chances even when its blatantly
obvious they are average players so please lets not keep using that as an excuse for
Wenger's ultra careful attitude in the transfer market, they could have
failed with us, or they could have been massive for us, all speculations.
The fact is that
Wenger seems totally oblivious to our
obvious failings, and is determined to go his own way whatever the cost to the team in terms of results.....
You over simplify and over exaggerate to detract from the
obvious truth that
Wenger has and does have a bearing on Injuries (Walcott the most recent and
obvious failing).
A few months back nearly every comment attacked
Wenger for this repeated error — it was so
obvious even
Wenger finally abandoned this
failed lineup.
In Arsenal's case, when we fans experienced the disappointment of
failing to win the League (and the FA Cup) many fans protested with anger, or simply just called for a change of manager, and directed it all at the most
obvious and softest target — Arsene
Wenger.
Wenger failed and we won't be competing for the title and with a squad which carries
obvious downside risks this kind of panglossian idiocy is unhelpful
The protests are aimed at BOTH Kronke and
Wenger. They are both to blame for our demise. How
Wenger was given a TWO YEAR CONTRACT last year was the final straw for the majority of fans who were demanding change. It was
obvious Wenger was not only unable to maintain the 4th Place Trophy he had for years stayed was a Trophy in all but name, but would also
fail to prevent us becoming nothing other than also rans within the chasing pack. And where are we now?SIXTH PLACE.That is down on last years pathetic effort and we show no signs of being able to improve with
Wenger still in charge.
the
obvious fact is that the club began to stagnate in football terms a decade ago after the CL semi against man utd and has been in outright retreat over the last 3 years... some fans were calling for
wenger to leave in 2011 - 12 as it was clear he could not cope with a more competitive environment others have been more tolerant, hanging on to fa cup glory and hoping that he would somehow self correct his weak and erratic management style but most now realise that is not possible and that the club will deteriorate further under his management so also want him gone, that has left a hard core of
wenger loyalists who are either fixated with the past (selecting episodic good and bad times to justify
wengers decade long failure) or too frightened of the future to contemplate a change (with selective reference to
failed managerial changes by way of justification) or both, to conclude, through a mixture of panglossian fatalism and corporate philosophising, how lucky we are to have such an honourable and educated man in charge... along with their confused references to club loyalty and addiction to computer games these are troubled souls who need our sympathy and concerned medical advice... SO JUST F OFF STOCK UP ON CANNED SOUP AND GO SUPPORT ASTON VILLA ON FIFA!
Its pretty
obvious the difference, and
Wenger has
failed to address it the last 10 or so transfer windows.
as lots of people on this site said last year dybala and draxler were available and
obvious choices but
wenger persisted with his current strike force which
failed to deliver again and it will in the coming season because it is simply not good enogh relative to the competition which is the only metric that matters... buying rodrguez and seeling gibbs is also an
obvious no brainer
Regardless of Kroenke's agenda, there have been
obvious flaws in our squad for a long long time that
Wenger just
fails to address.
It has been
obvious for 2 years or more that giroud Walcott ox Campbell were not good enough attacking options to challenge for titles...
wenger added Sanchez and took a
failed punt on welbeck... 2 weeks to go and it's the same thing... Le prof of denial had better put his hands in his pockets and buy mahrez and another striker or season will just repeat the disappointments of the lost decade
There is no real answer to the question you have posed because this club has once again hedged their bets on doing the bare minimum then hoping for the best... if they were serious about changing the stagnant culture that has permeated the club since our move from the Highbury, we would have immediately released and / or moved several players in the early days of the window... this would have demonstrated to the fans that they were serious about addressing our
obvious inadequacies... likewise this would have forced them to bring in replacements because they couldn't have used the lame excuse
Wenger is presently spewing about having too many players... we functionally have the same amount of players as we did when the window first opened but he didn't say jack about it then... he simply waited until the inevitable happened then pulled out his excuse Rolodex, closed his eyes and randomly drew the «too many players» card... the more he opens his mouth, the more I understand his «god» complex when it relates to all things Arsenal... what other manager could continually do the same dumb shit, not address
obvious concerns for years, speak to the fans in such a condescending manner, face enormous criticism from many of his former star players and be the architect of so many
failed player signings yet be one of the highest paid managers with the longest tenure in Europe... maybe Kroenke is colourblind and instead of seeing all the red flags he can only see the GREEN ones ($ $ $)
I think
Wenger will force him stay at all cost wanting him to be punished for that statement «I want to play champions league» when he was
obvious one prominent of players who have
failed to qualify arsenal for the champions league for the first time in
Wenger's era at Arsenal.
