You called me
out as being disingenuous when I said «that as time
goes on however, I'm finding things that are helping to disprove things previously held as fact among Christians», so I have provided you an example that not only wasn't it a disingenuous statement, but that I've done my homework, on both sides
of the argument, and came up with something that no one has been able to give me a response with even either the slightest chance
of being possible, or falling back to the old status qua

For me I figured that if there is a God
out there who does who does actually have a plan for us and if part
of that plan is to not be made known but would rather have us develop
faith, and if the reason for why we need to have
faith is to see if we are
going to follow God because we choose to instead
of being made to have to follow, and if the reason for all
of those commandments is to somehow be for our benefit, and if I really want to and need to know, which I did, and that this supposed God wanted for us to find
out through study, prayer and trying to practice those teachings to see for ourselves and then make our choice, then I figured to do just that and find
out for myself.

Kaylee if you have asked Christ into your life then the holy spirit -LCB- he is the spirit
of Christ -RCB- dwells within you it is him that changes us all we have to do is tell him that we are weak in whatever area we struggle. You mention alcohol when tempted to drink just tell him Lord i am weak but i am trusting in your strength to empower me and he will thats is how we change. If we try and do it in our strength we might succeed for a couple
of times then fall back into our old patterns. Then it becomes forgive me Lord for my sin we feel guilt and condemned and that is the work
of the enemy who is
out to destroy our
faith in God and because
of our feelings we
go and do the same things all over again. But we have a better way and that is to trust the one who is able to overcome having been set free from my old life style
of sin i am grateful each day to be walking in his strength not mine.So the Lord has given you the victory in Christ and even if we stumble sometimes in the process we remember there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus God bless brentnz
I consider myself a christian, with religious knowledge and general knowlege, however I do not hold to a set
of views dictated by an organized religion, I believe the organized religions are where we have
gone wrong, as someone pointed
out earlier to most «religious people» to question ones
faith or organization is wrong but that is exactly what the bible tells us to do... test ALL things to see what is true.
Clive, you point
out how others often don't understand what Jesus was saying; but while Jesus often labors to try and make things clear to the unbeliever («Oh, you
of little
faith) or at the very least the author tries to make it clear for us in retrospect (At the time they didn't understand that he spoke
of this...), in this case Jesus switches from something that might be figurative to essentially say «no, I seriously mean this» and it concludes not with Jesus saying «don't
go away, this is what I actually mean» but confirming that people would refuse to accept that God intended for them to actually fill themselves with the life that He offered so they stopped following him.

I don't necessarily defend a lack
of knowledge about other religions (I scored 15

faith in God)» with «what is your general knowledge about ALL religions», and presume this is
going to generate a meaningful result.

In Kierkegaard's earlier works are found the germ
of some
of Buber's most important early and later ideas: the direct relation between the individual and God in which the individual addresses God as «Thou,» the insecure and exposed state
of every individual as an individual, the concept
of the «knight
of faith» who can not take shelter in the universal but must constantly risk all in the concrete uniqueness
of each new situation, the necessity
of becoming a true person before
going out to relation, and the importance
of realizing one's belief in one's life.

In my book Jewish Renewal: A Path to Healing and Transformation, I point
out that in the original Hebrew version the word for «the Lord» that calls Abraham to sacrifice his son is very different than the word for the angel
of God (YHVH) who tells Abraham to NOT GO THROUGH WITH IT, and that the reason we Jews celebrate Abraham as the father of our people is NOT because of his faith in being willing to carry out this violent and bloody act, but rather because he was able to hear the voice of God as a voice that allowed him (and through him all subsequent Jewish and Muslim believers) to NOT FOLLOW THE VOICE OF CRUETLY AS SOMEHOW THE VOICE OF GO

faith, whom the Lord called one day to set
out, to
go forth from his country towards the land which he would show him.

Tim i found it liberating to just do what the Lord wants you to do i work within his boundarys and yes i attend church and enjoy it.I love the people and i love hearing the word and worshipping the Lord even if others are still bound up with traditions thats not my walk thats theres. My focus is to do what the Lord wants me to do.There have been times i have said no to the pastor he does nt understand why i choose not to lead the worship.i query him as well regarding the idea that its not just performing a function because there is a need our hearts have to be in the right place so that the Lord can use us but he did nt understand where i was coming from and thats okay because
of that i just said no until my heart is right i am better not being involved in leading. But i am happy to be an encouragement to others in the worship team i havent wanted to be the leader i have done that in the past.So my focus has been just the singing and being part
of different worship teams i think the Lord has other plans as the groups i am in seem to be changing at the same time i am aware that i do nt to worry about change as the Lord knows whats best.I used to be quite comfortable leading the music but that was before when i was operating in my own self confidence and pride. The Lord did such a huge change in my life that i lost my self confidence and that is not a bad thing at all as my spiritual growth has been incredible. The big change was my identity moved from me and what i could do to knowing who i was in Christ and that he is my strength and confidence. Now i know that without him i can do nothing in fact i am dependent on his empowerment through his holy spirit all the time in everything. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music at another church i attend multiple churchs although i attend two regularly one has services in the morning and one has services in the evening so the two do nt really clash. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music its been two years since i did that and i was worried on how i would go.All i can say is that it
went really well and because i stepped
out in
Faith the Lord really blessed the morning to the congregation. The difference is knowing that i serve the Lord with the gifts he has given me but my heart has to be right and when i do it in his way it builds up the body and it brings glory to him.May the Lord continue to show you what he wants you to do even though others may not understand your reasons i just want you to know that you do nt have to pull away completely just work within the boundarys that the Lord gives you and do nt feel pressured by others expectations to do anything that feel uncomfortable.Be involved just as you feel lead by the holy spirit even if it is in a very minor way take small steps.regards brentnz

went on to point
out how every social order is limited by the «continuing sinfulness

«Now with that
out of the picture, and people getting the impression that they have a right to perfect certitude and perfect clarity and perfect order every step
of the way, you've basically — I'm gonna say it strongly — you've basically destroyed the biblical idea
of faith to begin with.»
