about to say was, «haven't you seen my jacked - up
banana bread recipe?
I have thought
about making it many times (the recipe sounds delicious but the title, I confess, is
what really lured me in), but I also LOVE spotty
bananas, and between that, and, well, nursing school, I just haven't gotten around to baking it in the last couple of years.

what I love
about this recipe is that it makes the large amount of
banana do the work of some of the sugar and fat.
Here's
what I changed: I used a 15 - oz can of pumpkin (not pie filling — just pumpkin puree) in place of the
bananas; I swapped out the spices for
about 1 tsp each of cinnamon and ginger, and mixed those in with the pumpkin first; I opted for the larger volume of maple syrup from the original recipe, as the pumpkin wouldn't contribute sweetness the way the
bananas do; I baked the batter as a dozen standard muffins, which took
about 20 minutes at 350.
What he did like
about the
banana bread was that he got to help me make it this time.
I know that it's almost Thanksgiving, and that I'm supposed to be talking
about cranberries or
what to eat with your turkey, and that you and I both have planes to catch and grocery lists to write, but please consider filing away this recipe for the future, a future after the holidays, when you may find yourself with a couple of free hours and a defrosted ham bone that was once lost beneath some frozen
bananas.

I will need to figure out whether to use

about them).

what we eat is a wide range of vegetables (not including white potatoes), a wide range of whole fruits, 90 cc mix of no salt tree nuts, (that's my approximation of Dr. Weber's handful of nuts), wide variety of beans and legumes usually
about 1/4 cup dry, whole grains example brown rice pasta, some organic whole grain bread, usual breakfast organic old fashioned rolled oats with soup spoon of dried wild blueberries, 1/2 a
banana, 12 no salt almonds with skin, a little almond milk.
What about those big 5 +
bananas smoothies, excessive?
What about fruits like
banana, apple because they are high in sugar?
