What's much better in my view is to leverage the best transfer opportunities of programs such as Chase Ultimate Rewards (points transfer 1:1 to several
airline and hotel programs, with United
and Hyatt as the best value uses)
and AMEX Membership Rewards, which also transfers 1:1 to several
airline and hotel programs, with my favorite being Singapore
Airlines.

Airlines and AirTran have kicked off
what's likely to be a spate of domestic fare sales
and USA Today reports that convention
hotels are hungry for business.
But as an entry - level card, it can't do
what other premium Chase cards — such as Sapphire Preferred or Ink Cash — can do; namely, transfer points to
airline and hotel partner programs.

The ability to transfer reward points at a 1:1 ratio to leading
airline and hotel loyalty programs is
what really excites us about Chase Sapphire Preferred.
I know

Your best bet to avoid disappointment is to be really clear about

airline and hotel loyalty program on a 1:1 basis.

Now the 40,000 miles are neither
airlines miles or
hotel points but they are
what I call «flexible currency» or simply cash that can be redeemed for any sort of travel expense such as
hotels,
airline fees, baggage charges
and many more.
I'm not quite sure
what that has to do with
airline alliances, but Chris agrees with the reader that he's not being unreasonable in expecting US Airways
and / or Royal Jordanian to either reroute him or compensate him for his
hotel expenses.
I won't be buying Choice Privileges points in this sale as I have no immediate need for them for
hotel bookings, I'm not going for the Southwest companion pass
and I can wait to see
what airline transfers come up.
Ultimate Rewards, Membership Rewards, ThankYou Points,
and so on all offer this option but also have the ability to transfer directly to
airline and hotel partners at

It's actually hard to find specific wording referring to this in the terms
and conditions of the individual
hotel rewards programs but, if you take a look in the FAQ's of the American
Airlines lifetime status page, this is
