written?
Therefore I believe the route I am
writing about here is mainly for translators who are also promoting something else that fits, like similar
books or services, but if they do, I see no reason why they shouldn't do it, and in my opinion it would even make more sense if translators approach authors than authors approaching translators — not just when it comes to retrieving rights but translating
books in the first place, because they know best
what kind of books they think they can successfully promote themselves.
Instead
of spending hours trying to figure out
what kinds of graphics, colors and fonts come together nicely to create the perfect
book cover, simply leave it to a capable professional while you do the things you're comfortable with and are sure about, like more
writing!

of mine left he was in the real estate space

book with with a major publishing house and then a few years later stopped he left real estate and went into a really strong personal development business and the publisher went up well you're not promoting this
book anymore and they took his

of it and just put a new introduction on it no credit to anybody he had worked because he had two co-authors help him with it because he's dyslexic so they essentially were the ones that
wrote it and he provided a lot
of the content and the publisher gave those other authors no credit took his name off and put somebody else's name on the front and then the publisher was 100 % within their rights to do it so you know there's a lot
of things that I challenge people to
kind of think about
what's important and if you're putting all your expertise into this
book you want to make sure that somebody's negotiated a heck out
of it giving you a contract that actually makes sense for you and your business.

Recently I

of that stuff can be outsourced; in fact I'm going to focus on building a step - by - step todo list you can use, just give to your VA and let them take care
of everything (I may, eventually, set up some
kind of service where you hire a VA from us to do everything, that way I can train them myself to know exactly
what to do... but that's a long way off, because honestly I'd rather just focus on
writing my own
books).
(If you don't know
what your target readers will enjoy, because you've never thought about who you're
writing for or
what kind of person would read your
book, you've been living in a narcissistic, self - adoring bubble for too long, and you need to burst it).
In the end, it's probably a lot
of what type
of person are you and
what kind of book have you
written to determine which way to go.

Don't
write what you think people will read, go out and find people who read the
kind of books you
write.
I think, no matter
what kind of book you're
writing, we should be able to agree that it would be nice to get some people to read it, and it would be even nicer to get lots
of people to read it.
It depends on the

what you're trying to disclose or explain, whether you're going to have someone representing a certain style or a certain era or a certain whatever.
