What is freedom for
What is freedom for you?
No one has suggested anything of the sort, unless of course asking people
to be aware of their privilege, listening
to those who don't have it, and doing
what they can
to address it in their daily
lives (see Mary Anne's comment for a beautiful illustration of how even small gestures
make a difference) is something that
comes «at personal cost.»
So we are dealing with the irreconcilable fact that the Obama position threatens
to lower
living standards from 10 %
to 20 % over the
coming few years —
making the United States look more like Greece, Ireland and Latvia than
what was promised in the last presidential election.
While sure
making extra money with passive income ideas with help improve the income steam that is
coming in, which could afford you more
life experiences or putting more towards retirement contributions so you have enough
to continue
living your
life without worry about every penny you have, it's
what you can control in your -LSB-...]
Well it is true that some people seek sorcerers
to implement Jinn that are satanic demons into mankind or his house or his business
to finish him or
make his
life miserable or
to stop flow of his business income... In such case it is either you are religious enough and say your prayers often then it becomes hard for this
to harm you or otherwise you need
to find some one who practice exorcism
to remove this evil... But many are just pretending
to be good at it and help you not but squeeze money out of you with tales and stories... There is another type of possessions and that is not through a sorcerer but directly by coincidence
what man is at his weakest moments and those weakest moments for a possessions are when you
come through a great fear or when cry or laugh loudly in hysteria, or during a certain moment of mating... or even when sneezing loudly... That's why there are prayers
to be said on daily basis
to guard you from such things and specially if passing haunted places such as deserted houses but most evil ones are residents of public toilets and market places... Some of them even would claim that you have
made a wrong action by which you have killed a dear one
to them and for that they have possessed you and that is mostly night time such as throwing a cigaret butt
to a dark place or stepping killing an insect or even an animal at night which could have been one of them or possessed by one of them... So this is true thing happening
to many who suffer unexplainable illnesses or sufferings which could look like mental illness that
comes and goes as pleased...
when i
came of age when i had
to make my own decision for
what i will do with my
life i did research.
hello I think your wrong, We need everyone in this country, Its
what makes us great, It just when the 1 percent get
to run the
lives of the rest of the country that things go astray, We all need
to come to an agreement.
When a storm toppled a house on
to a 9 - year - old down the street, and Katie discovered that her, and her 7 year old and 5 year old sisters were all
living alone, orphaned, and fending for themselves, she said they could sleep at her house until God
made it clear
what came next.
When it
comes to making decisions about cancer treatment, I appear
to be
what Schwartz would call a «satisficer,» one who is willing
to live with the «good enough» rather than insisting on the «best.»
What abandoning belief in the divine DID do for many nonbelievers was
to make them realize that we're all playing the lottery of
life, that misfortune often
comes down
to the luck of the draw.
Today as i was thinking about Jesus sending the demons into the pigs and i thought God is not punishing but judging and he
made a decision.This idea
came from your other discussion which i believe is
what he does he decides
to make a judgement call he is sovereign and it shows his tender heart and mercy that not a single person was afflicted. The pigs unlike men have no soul so have no eternal consequence upon them they
live and they die.either way they were going
to get killed. We can be assured that Gods judgements are right and just the pork was going
to the gentile nations who worshipped other Gods and no doubt would have been offered
to idols so there is a consequence when we disobey the Laws of God even even when we do nt know or understand his laws.brentnz
i do nt know wheather you are still
living in Law or Grace, but thats
what i encourage you
to find out, cause nothing seem
to make since, when your still trying
to live under the Law, you must except the free gift of righteousness by grace through faith, if not, you will always
come under condemnation, I experience this for years, Oh Thank God I Am Free, Read Romans, Galation, and ephisans, and Hebews
Come on get real samson old testement its in there wilful sin my definition is walking away from the Lord and doing opur own thing knowing
what you should do but still do
what you want
to do.In the
life of Samson WE SEE Gods forgiveness and the sacrifice is the same as today repentence we are saved by the grace of God if we turn from our own way.He was disobedient to his parents and to the Lord his heart was no different from ours wilfully disobedient he chose sin over the Lord all the time sleeping with prostites and lying with foreign woman going his own way and yet God saves him not only that he was Gods chosen instrument to deliver his people. The sad part is his term was only 20 years if he had walking in the ways of the Lord he should have had that ministry for 40 years that is the term of completion. We cut ourselves short when we choose sin over the Lord which is an idol by the way.We all have those areas in our lives that we keep to ourselves thats wilful they are our demons and our comforters.Until we surrender all to the Lord we can not be overcomers and will be influenced by satan like samson it is clear warning to us wilful sin or making sin an idol in our lives has consequences better to serve the Lord with all our hearts even though samson did nt for much of his life God still showed him his grace and faithfullness. You can also see wilful sin in the Life of David yet God saves him but not all were saved in the life of saul as he wouldnt listen to the Lord and kept walking according to his fl

This is
to davidnfran hay David you might have brought this up in a previous post I haven't read, but i did read quit a bit about your previous comments and replies at the beginning of this blog, so I was just wondering in light of
what hebrews 6 and 10 say how would you enterprite passages like romans 8 verses 28 thrue 39
what point could paul have been trying
to make in saying thoughs amazing things in romans chapter 8 verses 28 thrue 39 in light of hebrews 6 and 10, Pauls says that god foreknew and also predestined thoughs whom he called
to be conformed
to the image of his son so that he would be the first born among many brothers and then he goes on saying that neither death nor
life nor angels nor rulers nor things present nor things
to come nor powers nor hight nor death can ever separate us from the love of god in christ jesus so how would i inturprate that in light of that warning in hebrews 6 and 10,
Much more recently Eldridge Cleaver has pointed out that the splitting tendency in American culture, which we have traced back
to the early Puritans, tended
to make the white man a mind without a body and the black man a body without a mind.20 Only when the white man
comes to respect his own body,
to accept it as part of himself, will he be able
to accept the black man's mind and treat him as something other than the
living symbol of
what he has rejected in himself.
Tommy God has already forgiven you for your sin the moment you asked Jesus into your
life and confessed him as Lord. From that point he paid for your sin in full past present future. It is not sin that stops us from being with the Lord so you are saved. The problem you are experiencing is the battle for your
life in the here and now satan is out
to destroy you and he knows our weaknesses. If you are honest there were already issues in your
life that you struggled with and never got the victory over.So where do you go from here as i found myself in the same situation i was a christian but walking according
to the flesh.God does nt change his mind he always loves us but because of our choices we distance ourselves from God.The issue is that we like sin thats our wicked hearts and
to be fair we cant change our nature only Christ can do that our old nature must be crucified with Christ. The stumbling block is our pride we have
to admit that we cant do it For me that was terribly difficult i was so independent thinking i could do anything but the truth was a
made a real mess of things.I sense you are at a crossroads and are feeling desperate and confused. So as a brother in the Lord you need
to confess your sin
to God and tell him that you are weak -LCB- we all are -RCB- and that you cant do it in your strength -LCB- None of us can -RCB- but ask him
to send the holy spirit
to help you deal with the temptations and the sin that you struggle with and he will help you
to change your
life he will empower you as he did me.Rather than look at who you are look
to Christ and walk in him and he will
make you a new man and sin will not have dominion over you.Jesus
came to set us free from bondage.Having once been a slave
to sin i know
what it is like
to have been set free by the power of God and that is
what Christ is offering you today. All it takes is a desire
to change or repent and admit we cant do it and trust him
to give you the strength
to walk in him regards brentnz
My Christian Belief is based upon my
Life's Past and does in no way, shape or form
come from Chruched based Fundamentalists whom I find as being hypocritical manajeries bent on keeping their family
made wealth thru religious declarations of the wealthy
to come he - ll or high waters keep their wealth despite
what Christ's teachings do so advise against!
We
came up with that in the 90's and the 80 ′
to get at the religious right...
what if we don't have a choice, that
makes them biggots... If you say you are a gay conservative, suddenly their [the left's] heads explode... It's not about bigotry or homophobia because we could
live in a perfect society and in many ways we pretty much do.
I used
to feel this way... but have
come to realize «saying»
what you believe is easy compared
to «
living out»
what you say you believe...»
living out» takes place in community...»
living out» is
what makes the difference...
What we call the incarnation might also be described as the way in which the Presence has
come among us, entrusting himself
to us so that we dare
to make our history something that shares God's
life.
* Believe in Jesus Christ, that he died for you This requires that you get rid of your old sinful ways If you TRULY believe, that is, love Him and give your
life to Him, good works and fruit will
come out, but these are not
what make you a Christian, they are simply an indicator of your faith in Jesus Pray, Read the Bible, Love God, Love others, worship God (
live for Him in all you do, take up your cross, and know that in all of this God is very patient and loving
Bob... I think I am as unconvinced as you are about the veracity of claims that are
made by some believers as
to what God is doing or about
to do in their
lives, but I've
come to think that religion or the search for meaning is much larger than any particular expression of any one tradition.
In time it
came to involve art forms of all kinds, (heiroglyphics, drawings and carvings, images, tools, etc.) and for all purposes (ranging from
what we would call economic (
making a
living)
to what we could call religious (giving him a sense of meaning in
life)-RRB-.
(See, for example: 1 Corinthians 1:30: «But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is
made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption»; 1 Thessalonians 1:9 - 10: «For they themselves shew of us
what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned
to God from idols
to serve the
living and true God; And
to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath
to come»; 1 Peter 2:24: «Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead
to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed..»)
In his recent book,
Life, Liberty, and the Defense of Dignity, he offers «four benefits» of mortality: interest and engagement, suggesting that adding, say, twenty years to the human life span would not proportionately increase the pleasures of life; seriousness and aspiration, proposing that the knowledge that our life is limited is what leads us to take life seriously and passionately; beauty and love, presenting the idea that it is precisely their perishability that makes, for instance, flowers beautiful to us, just as the coming and going of spring makes that season all the more meaningful; and, finally, virtue and moral excellence, by which he means the virtuous and noble deeds that mortality makes possible, including the sacrifice of our own life for a worthy ca

The issue here is really the same as the one which existed in Jesus» day — we can have plenty of religion (the dos and do nt's of the Pharisees) but
what is really needed
to be
made evident is the
life that
comes from God through His
living word (and that is something much deeper than just the «letter of the law»).
We do not know when the first intimations and stirrings of divinity within his humanness
made themselves felt, but given who Jesus was, and
what he would have
to give his
life to, it is inevitable that such moments would
come.
Jeremy i am surprised you never countered my argument Up till now the above view has been my understanding however things change when the holy spirit speaks. He amazes me because its always new never old and it reveals why we often misunderstand scripture in the case of the woman caught in adultery. We see how she was condemned
to die and by the grace of God Jesus
came to her rescue that seems familar
to all of us then when they were alone he said
to her Go and sin no more. This is the point we misunderstand prior
to there meeting it was all about her death when she encountered Jesus something incredible happened he turned a death situation into
life situation so from our background as sinners we still in our thinking and understanding dwell in the darkness our minds are closed
to the truth.In effect
what Jesus was saying
to her and us is chose
life and do nt look back that is
what he meant and that is the walk we need
to live for him.That
to me was a revelation it was always there but hidden.Does it change that we need discipline in the church that we need rules and guidelines for our actions no we still need those things. But does it change how we view non believers and even ourselves definitely its not about sin but its all about choosing
life and living. He also revealed some other interesting things on salvation so i might mention those on the once saved always saved discussion.Jeremy just want
to say i really appreciate your website because i have not really discussed issues like this and it really is
making me press in
to the Lord for answers
to some of those really difficult questions.regards brentnz
Janet i think
what you have said is quite insightful and you are right and there is another meaning
to Go and sin no more and that speaks
to me of repentence
making a decision
to Follow Christ the one who saves. The words Go and sin no more is referring
to a continual ongoinging process of
living for Christ rather than dying in our sins daily there is no comparison.I thought that was awesome pointing the law back
to all of us for we all have sinned and the judgement is death but Jesus
came that we might have
life in its fullness. Many people only see the adulterer when she portrays who we are as sinners that he
came to save all of us sin is sin and the punishment is death so again you are quite right people use the scriptures
to judge and that was never Jesus intention.I hope that helps when someone uses that scripture incorrectly and you can you use it like Jesus did
to point it back at those who judge i hope that helps.brentnz

Over the years I have spent thinking and praying about the Lord's call, and especially this weekend, I have
come more and more
to experience for myself the truth of Pope Benedict XVI's invitation
to young people
to «open wide the doors
to Christ»: that when the Lord calls us
to follow him, he «takes away nothing, absolutely nothing of
what makes life free, beautiful and great».
the existence isnt any different because no one here can prove
what happens when you die, no one, so i suggest you
make the best of your time in this planet that has the perfect balance of oxygen for you
to breath and be thankful
to whatever happened in this planet that
made so many animals and plants and nature coexist and allowed us
to have a place
to live... well sorry
to those who were killed by religious agendas... Do you know that someone tried
to shut me up once by saying, oh then how can we be so perfect in form, we cant be evolving because how
come we do nt evolve today..
Without regard
to what came before or will
come after the universe, the fact that seemingly «lifeless» matter can become, well, us,
makes me think
what goes on in this
life is quite unreal.
I suspected when I first heard this claim that the Committee on the Status of Black Americans, loaded as it was with social scientists, had demolished a straw man, a bloodless construct so rigidly defined as
to be meaningless in terms of the actual
lives of the humans who inhabit the nation's ghettos and who, for the most part,
make up
what has
come to be called the underclass.
If, abstracting altogether from the question of their value for the future spiritual
life of the individual, we take them on their psychological side exclusively, so many peculiarities in them remind us of
what we find outside of conversion that we are tempted
to class them along with other automatisms, and
to suspect that
what makes the difference between a sudden and a gradual convert is not necessarily the presence of divine miracle in the care of one and of something less divine in that of the other, but rather a simple psychological peculiarity, the fact, namely, that in the recipient of the more instantaneous grace we have one of those Subjects who are in possession of a large region in which mental work can go on subliminally, and from which invasive experiences, abruptly upsetting the equilibrium of the primary consciousness, may
come.
They were attracted
to what they saw of the faith and practices of early Christian communities; only later did they
come to understand very much about the faith, after a prolonged program of catechesis
made them proficient in an alien grammar and way of
life.
Jeff: This is
what causes division as we go about doing even good things, out of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
to set up another sect out of our carnal nature; above is the outcome; Jesus
came to cause division among men that tries
to become their own god and sets up camp, even for them that call themselves Christian, for them that have went from Him and His Words, even that are not of His Spirit: Jesus said; the Words that I speak are Spirit and
Life, That means the Words of man can only bring forth death: Therefore; if we do not have His Spirit in us, then we too can only speak forth death: This is
what it is
to be a believer, we truly believe our Lord: I can see
what the Catholic church and her daughters are doing
to form a religious Babylonian city: Even as God caused a division in Babylon in the past because the peoples became great, so
to is it now with all of the man
made sects of religion: But when we are filled with the Spirit of God then we can not help but
to live for God: It is written; those who are led by His spirit are His children: Thank - you Jeff: Those who are of His Spirit will know these truths, those who are not of His Spirit truly believe a believer is as they and can not know
what we speak, because they
live in unbelief: Thank - you again Jeff; In Jesus Name Alexandria: P.S..
Peregrine: Jesus didn't die... he slept for 3 days, nothing more... if he was dead he would not have gotten back up (no - one else has ever
come back
to life after 3 days...
what makes your imaginary friends kid so special?).
Gil you have asked some very good questions why does bad things happen in the world i personally do nt know God did nt explain
to Job either why he had
to suffer.
What i do know is that God desires that none of us should perish but that all would have eternal
life in him through Jesus Christ. This world will one day pass away and the real world will be reborn so our focus as christians is on
whats to come and being a witness in the here and now. Both good and bad happens
to either the righteous or the sinner so
what are we
to make of that.
What we do know is that God will set all things right at the appointed time the wicked will be judged and the righteous will be rewarded for there faith isnt that enough reason for us
to believe.Free will is only a reality if we can choose between good and bad but our hearts are deceitfully wicked we naturally are inclined toward sin that is another reason whyt we need
to be saved from ourselves so
what are we
to do.For me Christ died and rose again that is a fact witnessed by over 500 people that were alive at the time and was recorded by historians how many other religious leaders do you know that did that or did the miracles that Jesus did.As far as the bible is concerned much of the archelogical evidence has proven
to be correct and many of prophetic words spoken many hundreds of years ago have
come to pass including both the birth and the death of Jesus.Interested in
what philosophy you are believing in if other than a faith in Jesus Christ so how does that philosophy give you the assurance that you are saved. Its really simple with christianity we just have
to believe in Jesus Christ.brentnz
Rahn... Do i really need
to back up
what i think online... and you being the expert... why do nt you fully explain
to me the state that the country is in... enlighten me... but you already know how far that will go... just as my attempt
to change others mind's fell short... so will any others opinion... i have my mind
made up for my own well founded reasons... all im saying is that spending all day protesting and postulating is of no benefit
to anyone... going about your
life and
making things best for yourself is in the best interest of this country as a whole... I believe Adam Smith said it best... the best results
come from one person doing
whats best for himself and the team... not throwing a hissy fit
In the eternal scheme of things
what difference does it
make when it
comes to timing since were talking about eternity not just about this
life.
Then the real trouble
comes, because we know
what a change they call for in our
lives, and we hesitate
to make that change.
For this reason
what happens
to and with human beings
makes the difference as
to whether they are under the dominion of some demon or the dominion of God, who cares about human
life and has, in Jesus Christ, demonstrated a willingness
to come to its defense.
