There are so many things wrong with this game, first of all the

Similar to Inception and Pulp Fiction (okay, maybe not so much the latter), this movie is horribly misunderstood by the common person, but to anyone who has a sense of meta - humour, good cinematography, writing, and great
plot line this movie shines like lamp in a dark basement (See
what I did there, I was implying that horror movies in general aren't that great... I was also referencing the movie).

plot line?
Here's the thing: every time a character is introduced, every time a seemingly throwaway
line of dialogue is given that little extra emphasis, every time the classic three - act structure requires a very particular
plot development... you know exactly
what's coming next.
In watching it, you waste your Time (97 minutes to be exact, if you stay for the whole credits trying to decompress
what you just witnessed and contemplate your own existence), you pray for Death to offer you a sweet release from this monstrosity, and yet you Love every second of it because for all of its deformed themes, insane
plot developments and bizarre decisions from top - notch actors to get involved with such a project (Will Smith, Edward Norton, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, and even more are somehow all present and actually delivering these
lines with a straight face), Collateral Beauty is one of the most deliriously entertaining movies of 2016.
If the filmmaker focused on creating a more detailed
plot -
line and conflict, the crime action - adventure could have been an equally impressive visual and emotional tale of
what happens when two enemies on opposite sides of the law vow to take the other down.
What it does do is deliver an interesting, suspenseful
plot, filled with engaging and compelling characters doing interesting things and saying cool
