points work very similarly to cash back rewards, depending

card is from a specific retailer, there could be a 10 % discount for using that
card and if the person purchases more than a couple thousand dollars» worth from that store this is a savings of $ 200 from the retail prices compared to
what would happen in other cases that more than offsets the annual fee.
Your stratagem of not charging anything
on the
card at all is a good idea, but even here, note that if the minimum payment required is, say, 10 % of the outstanding balance and that is exactly
what you pay each month, you will still owe $ 296.55 at the end of 12 months, from which
point on you will be charged 1.25 % per month, same as for purchases.
The
card that would be best for you will depend
on what you expect to do with your
points and where you use your
card.
With a $ 0 introductory fee and 2x the
points on all travel and dining, it should give you an idea of
what travel rewards credit
cards can do for you.
However, your credit
card may offer
points or miles instead of a specific cash back percentage based
on what you spend.

Depending

card you have, you may be able to transfer your credit
card points to the airline's program and combine your miles into one account.
But if you're just looking to earn
