only reason y i say this is because of Santification, once we give our life to the Lord, we streight way (so to speak) begin the process of Santification, this is Christ making us like him, and this Is SUFFERING It does nt happen over night, but for the duration of our time here, as you have said, its sort of like sin being done unto us, and we are handleing it just like Christ did, (with Love) of coarse with the help of the Holy Spirit, This Does NOT feel Good At ALL since our soulful flesh is Corrupt, (but our spirit is
saved) This is were your trails and tribulation, your own desire, and All play apart, Now Moment by Moment we choose by our own will, And Jesus helps in these times, as he was tempeted, but without sin, The devil can do nothing but try and decieve the Christian into thinking that he has to work for his salvation as you have said, this thing here is about your Inheritance In Christ, Its gonna be some show nought broke christian in Heaven, because their trying to set of for themseleve trasure on earth, and their is going to be weeping and gnat of teeth, but it wont be, because of their going to Hell, It will be cause they miss out on
what they could have had, and it is Devistation, cause they waste so much time, and they wont be able to attend the wedding, supper of the lamb, they wont be, getting the position over city, galacy, ectt... just check it out some of the
points i have made, God Bless you!
If God is not sovereign, in other words if you are not dependent on Him for everything and if faith, through which people are
saved comes from themselves,
what is the
point then of praying to Him?
Jeremy i am surprised you never countered my argument Up till now the above view has been my understanding however things change when the holy spirit speaks. He amazes me because its always new never old and it reveals why we often misunderstand scripture in the case of the woman caught in adultery. We see how she was condemned to die and by the grace of God Jesus came to her rescue that seems familar to all of us then when they were alone he said to her Go and sin no more. This is the
point we misunderstand prior to there meeting it was all about her death when she encountered Jesus something incredible happened he turned a death situation into life situation so from our background as sinners we still in our thinking and understanding dwell in the darkness our minds are closed to the truth. In effect
what Jesus was saying to her and us is chose life and do nt look back that is
what he meant and that is the walk we need to live for him. That to me was a revelation it was always there but hidden.Does it change that we need discipline in the church that we need rules and guidelines for our actions no we still need those things. But does it change how we view non believers and even ourselves definitely its not about sin but its all about choosing life and living. He also revealed some other interesting things on salvation so i might mention those on the once
saved always
saved discussion.Jeremy just want to say i really appreciate your website because i have not really discussed issues like this and it really is making me press in to the Lord for answers to some of those really difficult questions.regards brentnz
If at this
point in the central tragedy in our history there had occurred the demonstration of the power and glory of the God in whom he trusted; if Elijah had come; if he who
saved others had been
saved; if we know not
what natural or supernatural event had taken place to deliver this soul of faith from death and further shame; then might not faith as universal loyalty and universal trust have been reconstructed among men?
Janet i think
what you have said is quite insightful and you are right and there is another meaning to Go and sin no more and that speaks to me of repentence making a decision to Follow Christ the one who saves. The words Go and sin no more is referring to a continual ongoinging process of living for Christ rather than dying in our sins daily there is no comparison.I thought that was awesome
pointing the law back to all of us for we all have sinned and the judgement is death but Jesus came that we might have life in its fullness. Many people only see the adulterer when she portrays who we are as sinners that he came to
save all of us sin is sin and the punishment is death so again you are quite right people use the scriptures to judge and that was never Jesus intention.I hope that helps when someone uses that scripture incorrectly and you can you use it like Jesus did to
point it back at those who judge i hope that helps.brentnz

points as part of an entire package about

What this means is that as long as the word «
saved» is incorrectly equated with eternal life, the concept of «once
saved, always
saved» can easily be refuted by

I have christian friends from other churchs and there women do these things and they do it because that is how they interpret the word. Its optional and not inforced by the church or by there husbands. They do it as an act of worship to the Lord. The
point is how you interpret the word that was
what i was getting at as we know the word is the inspired word of God to understand it we need the inspiration of the holy spirit otherwise the word is dead and brings no life.In the case of mother etta she was called to preach and God used her as an evengelist in her day her ministry grew she witnessed to thousands she healed the sick and
saved the lost you can argue over a
point but the proof is there that God uses women just as he uses men in ministry today.
I also was powerless in regard to my old nature it had power over me.i came to the
point that i needed to do something because i felt like spiritually i was dying and again it was by faith in Jesus Christ that changed me and that i admitted that i could nt live the christian life in my strength.Since then i have continued to walk by faith daily and i know
what it means to be
saved in this life we have power over our old nature through Christ that strengths us Personally i think this is a major reason why many christians are not growing and maturing as they should. Many people are struggling in there faith that is not how it is meant to be the word says we are overcomers more than conquerers through Christ that strengthens us.If you are struggling are you walking by faith or just doing good christians works that have no power to change your life Just admit that you cant do it in your strength let him empower you by his holy spirit to do
what you cant.It has been a hard road to get here but i am never going back to living by works when you find the truth there is no comparison brentnz
As time goes buy the kind defenders of free will over their rejection to «dead» here and colossians 2:13 tend to resort to a familiar defense, that of labeling it a Calvinist viewpoint and that its almost a cultist view
point to hold.Very sad yet very much the defense of many christians.Dead may i suggest is dead, the inability to respond, does not mean that prior to being
saved one could not read scripture but because of this spiritual deadness its not profitabel / meaningful - we just can not continue to revise the meaning of dead to fit a view
point - because natural man has not been born again this deadness (spiritually) shows itself as «none seek after God», in this condition they are» slaves to sin» and the spiritual things of God (the bible) is «folly / foolishness» even the gospel is judged by natural man as «folly / foolishness «(1 cor.1: 18) Please stop with this weak / common defense called Calvinism - many believers are truly turned off by such a defense. We must not forget the man's «free will» is
what took the whole human race down in the garden; i would hope we can rise above our love affair with the human will.
