the problem is that ppl read the bible thats been translated, if you realy want to know
what was said youll need to study hebrew... every letter has a
meaning... every word isnt a perfect fit for english,, theres nuances and cultural
differences that youll find,,, its a whole new thing to go back and look at the bible through hebrew eyes,,, they arent required to look like us,,, were supposed to look more like them,,, yashua was a jew,,,, all the apostles were jews, yashua was sent to the lost sheep of the house of israel, not the gentiles, paul took it to the gentiles, and he never stopped being and living as a jew, the laws are very viable today, but they do nt give salvation, thats
what yashua did...

For, recognizing that «there is a
difference between translating
what the text
means and translating
what it says,» he emphatically elects the latter, thus reconnecting the genre of modern Bible translation with the ancient practice of reading aloud and, as a result, conveying much of the texture of the Hebrew in ways that other translations can not.
Steve... I think we're floggin» a dead horse here, but for
what it's worth, understand that I'm not trying to convince you to think like I do, rather I wd hope that room wd be made for many theological
differences. To think discuss and debate theology is well supported by the New Testament and history, and is perfectly within the bounds of
what it
means to engage our minds with the subject at hand.Theologians and biblical scholars have done this very thing for centuries, revealing a plethora of opinion on the evolving world of biblical studies. Many capable authors have written and debated the common themes as well as the
differences between Paul, John, Jesus, the synoptics, etc..

Jeremy Myers, i think you are wrong and David is right, so many out there are preaching you can live any way you want and be right that Grace covers any sin, they really believe that, that is not
what the bible says, God was very concerned about sin so much he sent Jesus his son to die on a cross for us, if we accept Jesus as our savor then we are to obey his commandments, not break them, we are to live a righteous and holy life as possible, the bible plainly list a whole list of things if we live in will not to to heaven unless we repent, if we die while in these sins, we will not go to heaven,
what is the
difference, between someone who said a prayer and someone who did not, and they are living the same way, none, i think, if we are truly saved it should be hard to do these things let alone live and do them everyday, i would be afraid to tell people that it does not matte grace covers their sins, i really think it is the slip ups that we are convicted of by the Holy Spirit and we ask for forgivness, how can anyones heart be right with God and they have sex all the time out of marriage, lie, break every commandment of God, i don't think this is
meaning grace covers those sins, until they repent and ask for forgiveness, a lot of people will end up in hell because preachers teach Grace the wrong way,, and those preachers will answer to God for leading these people the wrong way, not saying you are one of them, but be careful, everything we teach or preach must line up with the word of God, God hates sin,
The presupposition of ultimate

what we do and experience somehow makes an ultimate, permanent
difference.

differences ie like sabbaths or baptism but that does not
mean they arent saved or are christians.
What church denomination do you belong to if you mentioned jehovah witness or mormons that is a different story as they do nt believe that Jesus Christ is central to there faith they have relegated him to nothing more than a prophet so there is no salvation in those religions.brentnz

Jürgen Moltmann, on the other hand, emphasized the
difference between the new and the old
meanings of political theology depicting
what had earlier been called political theology as the ideology of political religion, which is the symbolic integration of the beliefs of a people through which they sanction and sanctify their traditions and their ambitions.12 Moltmann strongly supports Peterson in his critique of political theology in this sense.13 It is the task of
what is properly called political theology — in Metz's sense — to unmask the pretenses of political religions.

mean, practically, to preserve and celebrate (as much as we can) the original intent of the authors of the Old Testament while still asking ourselves, «
what difference does the death and resurrection of Christ make for how I understand this part of the Old Testament&raq
what difference does the death and resurrection of Christ make for how I understand this part of the Old Testament»?
I
mean, if I have an invisible dragon in my garage that breathes invisible, undetectable fire, and that exists in another dimension so that my garage can be filled with cars and junk while he's in there breathing invisible and harmless fire —
what's the
difference in it existing like that and not existing?
We have major
differences about
what that
means and how the spirit works, however, and these
differences must not be minimized.
My husband and I have had a similar journey except for one major
difference... our vocation was not in ministry and so although we lost a lot, when the questions and examinations of
what we believed and the willingness to try and understand
what other's believed and experienced came, we were never in jeopardy of losing our
means of support or careers in our area of experience and knowledge.
In other words,
what he
means to say is that to differ in principle is to differ in degree, because it is not an absolute
difference, but it is not to differ «merely in degree,» because it is an infinite rather than a merely finite
difference.
To develop a thought's
meaning we need therefore only determine
what conduct it is fitted to produce; that conduct is for us its sole significance; and the tangible fact at the root of all our thought - distinctions is that there is no one of them so fine as to consist in anything but a possible
difference of practice.
As Timothy George wrote in his introduction to «The Gift of Salvation» in the December 1997 issue of Christianity Today: «We rejoice that our Roman Catholic interlocutors have been able to agree with us that the doctrine of justification set forth in this document agrees with
what the Reformers
meant by justification by faith alone (sola fide)... [But] this still does not resolve all the
differences between our two traditions on this crucial matter.»
What Bultmann
means is that the
difference between the mythological language of the New Testament and ecclesiastical dogma on the one hand and his own interpretation on the other is that the former presents us with a «miraculous, supernatural event», whereas the right interpretation is one which suggests «an historical event wrought out in time and space».
There is a slight
difference between the definition of a word and
what it
means in context with other words.
Others eliminate the force of the
difference, but not the
difference itself, by making various distinctions, for example, between the historical «accidents» and the eternal «essence» (as in Harnack), or between the familiar present worldview, which is normative, and the strange, alien past one, which is not (as in J. Weiss and Schweitzer), or between
what a text «says» and
what it «
means» (as in Bultmann, whose approach attempts to resolve the tensions involved in the former two enterprises).
God, so understood, is not only the chief causative principle, although He is not by any
means the only such principle (since there is freedom of decision throughout the world - order); He is also the supreme affective reality, because
what happens in the world, by precisely such free decision and its results, makes a
difference to and (if we may put it so) contributes to the divine principle in providing further opportunities for advance as well as in enriching the experience of the divine itself or himself.
There are currently two received versions (the Hafs and Warsh) in circulation among Muslims worldwide, although Muslim scholars insist that there is no
difference of inner
meaning with regard to
what is permitted and
what is forbidden.
But then the question emerges, If the moral
difference between directly and indirectly intending is simply the relation of desire to the evil,
what is the moral significance of intending something as a
means?
And if the evil intended as a
means is not desired for its own sake, then
what is the moral
difference between (3) and (1), between intending evil as a
means and intending evil as the foreseeable consequence of my action?
I can not have an intelligent conversation with you regarding the Bible, specifically, for instance, why «not eating shellfish» no longer applies, until you are able to distinguish the
difference between being under the Mosaic law and being under Christs grace and
what that
means for each of us today.
Lp: I appreciate that you said «All I'm arguing is that...», because it is an argument... a
difference of opinion, on
what «reformed and reforming»
means.
Rather than simply papering over those
differences, the European Union may have exacerbated them, by denying any spiritual foundation to
what it
means to be a European.
