I no longer get bent out of shape about CUE's
lack of
buttons because I can change the volume from the steering -
wheel controls and make Bluetooth calls with voice commands, and I don't change the climate - control temperature more than a couple of times during my drive.
The steering
wheel audio controls
lack a volume adjustment, and the voice activation
buttons is clumsily located on a the turn signal stalk.
Although our convertible M3
lacked the cabin tech options, not even having the programmable M
button on the steering
wheel, it still proved a remarkable car to drive with all the performance capabilities of the loaded version.
Our only complaint with the design is details such as the fiddly climate control
buttons and a
lack of reach adjustment on the
wheel.
The Comand control
wheel on the console is more slippery than BMW iDrive and
lacks adjacent direct access
buttons for navigation, phone, radio and media.
