The optimized system control unit processes information on
wheel rotation speeds, steering wheel movement, yaw rate and lateral acceleration to ensure optimum steering behavior for the driving situation at hand.
Integral Active Steering will vary the steering angle of the front wheels depending on steering wheel movement,
wheel rotation speed, yaw rate and lateral acceleration, similiar to the way Active Steering works.

Engine braking breaks the
wheels proportionately to their actual
rotation speed: the higher the
speed, the higher the braking force.
This means the Ridgeline can add torque to the outside rear
wheel in cornering to enhance
rotation or to the inside rear
wheel when changing lanes at freeway
speeds to reduce yaw and enhance stability.
The sound seems to be totally dependent on the
speed of the
wheel's
rotation, and doesn't change when I'm in neutral or any gear.
If you can figure out exactly which
wheel / tire it is through
rotation (front to rear only... and then only if the front and rear tires are the same size), you can have it spin balanced for a higher
speed.

The damper settings are determined by an electronic control unit which takes sensor readings from the car's systems, including throttle position, brake position, steering
