Just try to get out as much of the milk as possible
when making nut milk, as I'm sure you will because who wants to miss even an ounce!
When I make nut milks, I use the pulp (which has lots of fiber and nutrition, unlike the milks themselves) by adding it to breads, waffles, pancakes — that sort of thing.
I do the same
when I make nut milks or when I make hemp milk, use a bit of sunflower lecithin, it does wonders doesn't it?!
You see,
when you make these nut milks yourself, you control what goes into them, which is often nuts, water, a little sea salt and maybe some flavouring (vanilla, dates, cacao etc).

Being one of the softer more pliable
nuts, cashews,
when blended with water,
make a rich, creamy
milk that resembles full fat cow's
milk.
When I
make it I use cheesecloth and a strainer and it's messy and finicky, and I bet that a
nut milk bag would solve the problem.

nut butters, low - fat
milk, 100 percent fruit juice and chia seeds.

nut milk, discard the soaking water and rinse the almonds well.
When I'm always
making smoothies and
nut milk, I tend to forget what else I can do with the blender.
Why buy nondairy
milk from the store
when you can easily and inexpensively
make your own from
nuts, seeds and grains?
A
nut milk bag is useful
when making almond
milk, coconut
milk etc in your blender.
It is now widely available in many flavours and in both unsweetened and sweetened versions, however many of these contain lots of additives and stabilisers so it is always best to
make your own
when you can (check out my recipe for homemade
nut milk).
Lately,
when I forget to soak almonds I
make nut milk with a combination of hemp and macadamia
nuts.
Feel free to experiment with other
nuts when you

milk.

nut milk, carrot juice, green smoothies... I really want my kids lunches to «look like» the other kids lunches so they aren't
made fun of just because they eat «differently» Perhaps this won't even be a worry at all....
Almond

milks at home.
The quality is definitely better
when you
make it yourself, but life happens and we don't always have the foresight to soak almonds overnight or the time or motivation to deal with straining
nut milk and dealing with the leftover pulp.
Simple blend your ingredients together with water — we like a mix of greens, celery, ginger, lemon and parsley — and then squeeze through your
nut milk bag, just like
when you're
making nut milk.
I wasn't terribly impressed with rice
milk when I tried it and although I like
nut milks they are quite expensive to
make.
(Note: the combination of hot water, tocos and ghee - or coconut oil if you do not do dairy -
makes the creamiest base for a potion - great as a substitute for
nut milk when traveling or on the go!)
