When you use cup measurements, it is always going to inaccurate.
I used 1/2 a recipe last time but it was way more than 1/2 the jar
when I used a cup, and it didn't come out right.
Mostly because it decreases the number of dishes I need to wash:), but also because my baked goods, specifically breads, turn out so much better than they did
when I used cups.

when xanthan gum is
used to replace gluten in gluten - free recipes, the rule of thumb is one teaspoon added to each
cup of gluten - free flour.
Hey Deb, maybe I'm doing something wrong but
when I measure with grams rather than
using cups in your recipes they always turn out a little odd.
I made a few alterations to the recipe
when I served it —
used 4
cups of low sodium organic vegetable broth instead of water, and
used most of a seedless cucumber in place of the avocado.
Next time I'll
use the measuring
cup bottom to sort of press the pistachios and coconut into the dough too because everything fell off the top
when they were cut.
What you have is not wrong but it is not enough, it is very common in recipes
when using ingredients like these to provide other information because these items are purchased in pieces of vegetables not measurable
cups, hence Hans» frustration.
When measuring flour or icing sugar by volume (
cup) never scoop the flour / icing sugar up with the
cup otherwise you compress the contents and this can make a big difference in the amount you're
using.
When needing to get the popsicles out of the mold, you can run the
cup under hot water like a normal person, real quick like, and pop it out that way or you can go action movie status like me and squeeze the
cup,
using the heat of your hand and shooting it out, making people jump.

If you only
use 2 tbsp / load that's about 8 loads per
cup (16 tbsp / 8oz)... so
when I made mine I got about 29
cups which translates to aprox.
When ready to cook,
use 1
cup water to 1/3
cup grains for each serving.

use fresh tomatoes instead of sauce, I just chop them very finely and cook them down and
use just a scant
cup of it.
For the double batch I modified it slightly by
using about 3/4
cup raw honey (I have my own beehives) instead of coconut sugar and I
