The City Council agreed to hold off until June 20 before deciding
whether they will give
library officials the requested $ 18.6 million to construct the facility on Park District - owned land on the south side of 95th Street, west of Neuqua Valley High School.
School
officials in at least three towns reported that when they called the State Department of Education for guidance about the sit and stay policy they were told that the mandatory SBAC Test Administration Manual was a set of guidelines and it was up to the town to decide
whether to require children who have been opted out of the SBAC test to sit and stay in the classroom or
whether to relocate students to the
library or some other safe location where they could read or do homework.
