I've made lots
of Ella's recipes and I've absolutely loved all (except for the cacao oatmeal cookies
which I found super bland), and I quitted
sugar and wheat almost 5 months ago so my taste buds are used to this
kind of cooking, so I figured I should give them a try.
The filling is usually made with chana dal or split Bengal gram and grated jaggery, a
kind of unrefined cane
sugar which has a deeper flavor than regular
sugar.
I love the topping
which gives it
kind of a cinnamon
sugar flavor.
I topped my loaf with a very generous amount
of spiced

First
of all, there are some sources
of white refined
sugar that are not made via the process you describe, and it's not always easy to tell
which kind you're getting.
Discounters like Aldi or Lidl aside every grocery store — and I live in a small town — carries at least a semi-acceptable
kind of peanut butter [read: containing added oils and some
sugar which it looks like Wegman's PB had, too].
The residues and the
kind of vessel in
which they were found indicate the initial use
of the plant was not simply as a beverage, but the white pulp around the beans like coffee beans was likely used as a source

which would greatly cut down on the calories and almost completely eliminate any

Most recipes that you find out there though are loaded with brown
sugar, marshmallows (
which in my opinion is
kind of weird), and butter.
The store had run out

which particular hormone therapy you're talking about, I can tell you that you're already going to be affecting the basal metabolic rate, muscle mass, bone mass, fat versus
sugar burning, etc..
The problem with the nonfat
kind (and yoghurt in general) is that even without added
sugar, they are separated from most
of the butterfat before fermentation, meaning that they have much more lactose (
which is a
sugar) than say sour cream or heavy cream.
Go to your health - food shop and ask for Xylitol candy
which is gluten free, these
kind of sweets are available and contain NO gluten or «bad»
sugars and are your best healthy alternative, otherwise avoid these
kinds of treats entirely.
