When national budgets of various
oil -
producing countries are determined by crude prices, then a lower price forces capital to be repatriated back to the
country of origin (and we haven't even mentioned Russia,
which is flooding the crude market for budgetary reasons).
We are very fortunate that in the last few years, the coconut
oil producing countries have begun to wake up and not take for granted that the American view on dietary oils,
which states that saturated fats are bad and increase cholesterol levels leading to heart disease, is true.
In that case we were able to come out with what we called the amnesty programme
which brought about the end of militancy in that part of our
country where crude
oil is being
produced.
If taking fish
oil, look for a product
which is
produced in a cold weather
country near the Arctic Circle.
Things may be a little different in
countries which do not
produce coconut
oil, e.g. US, Canada, most of Europe, etc..
Coconut
oil is a plant
oil which is extracted from the meat of mature coconuts, it is
produced by the
countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Viet Nam (1).
Simpletons and Bush / Mcbush apologists also feel that ethanol
which is LESS efficient than ordinary gas, is a GREAT idea, even as it creates the world's largest dead zone in the Gulf, offshore drilling is THE answer despite anyone w / a brain stating that this capacity won't come online for 30 years and
which will
produce about three weeks» worth of
oil at our
country's CURRENT rate of use, and that some silly gas tax reprieve,
which will cost us in infrastructure improvements and lost jobs, is a good thing....
From the
country's standpoint, it has an added incentive to
produce alternative resources to
oil, resources
which are carbon free or carbon reduced, and avoid paying the associated environmental premium.
Let's suppose the
country has
oil wells that
produce lots of
oil, processed for various reasons, and
which by doing so, releases carbon into the atmosphere.

which the crude
