surplus when bulking, eating too many
calories won't give you any extra muscle building advantages.
As I have read the article you mentioned, it's possible to lose fat
while gaining muscle IF someone is a new to weight lifting but that contradicts with the fact that you need to have
calorie surplus in order to build muscles?
What this means is,
while a caloric
surplus is still absolutely required, if there are any excess
calories consumed
in addition to the number of
calories that your body can actually put towards building muscle, these
calories will end up going through the «Fat Storage» door.
I mean, or can you actually lose fat
while in a
calorie / energy
surplus if you have the above factors
in line?
There's no real ability to prevent gaining some body fat when eating a
calorie surplus (which is required for building muscle), just like there's no ability to prevent all muscle loss
while in a deficit.
While this is true for both women and men, women's lower absolute rates of gain mean that an even smaller
surplus in calories will be required.
