After wasting time and money on D3 I've gone back to playing the original
Torchlight while I wait for
Torchlight 2.
While the lack of story can be disappointing, the constant combat and reward, adventure and character progression make
Torchlight an enjoyable experience that can always be returned to.
While I've already mentioned
Torchlight 2's art style in passing it is one of the game's defining features.
Gamers hoping to immerse themselves deeper into the
Torchlight world will eventually be able to play a
Torchlight MMO, but it won't be for a
while.
Beyond Good & Evil HD, Full House Poker and
Torchlight appear to have seen some big successes this month,
while other titles, such as Swarm and Islands Of Wakfu, have difficulty catching on with player's interests.
While I'm happy you've included games like Morrowind (best game ever in my opinion) and PS: T, BG2, and such, there are also games features such as Stick of truth,
Torchlight 2, and Diablo 3 amongst others.
The Mass Effect and Operation Flashpoint games are also cheap as chips,
while the indie loving is brought to you courtesy of Limbo, SkyDrift and
Torchlight.
But
while Dota 2 players only play Dota 2,
Torchlight 2 audience gerenally tries a lot of games — ten times more on average.
Torchlight 1 is absolutely free right now on Good Old Games and will be for 48 hours
while it kicks off the site's 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale.
Had my eye on this for a
while as I love games like Crimson Alliance and
Torchlight.
I like
Torchlight 2 because it remembered the good thing about Dungeon Crawlers,
while minimizing all the stuff that sucked.
Also, indie - gaming has made some pretty great strides in the last few years, and
while there's a good chance that the increased capital in it will eventually lead to the same dull fate the big 3 seem to have agreed on, for the moment it's a great time to enjoy things like Trine or
Torchlight, which I can't see coming from MS, Sony or Nintendo at this point.
Similar to
Torchlight 2, you move your character throughout a level defeating various enemies,
while collecting loot.
