whimsy so thank you to all of you for your continued support — I'm forever grateful for you!

so over the top cute and filled with
whimsy which I love.
Love it —
so sophisticated with a touch of
whimsy with that bomber jacket!
Except it's
so definitely lacks any
whimsy that all of its naturalism can actually be stale.
The very model of wit and
whimsy that came
so naturally in the 50's and comes
so rarely today.
Admittedly, there was some
whimsy to be found, notably in Woody Allen's
so -
so bonbon Midnight in Paris, and Michel Hazanavicius's The Artist, a throwback to silent movies that's become a minor sensation.
The question hangs over the film, making for an introspective journey; this isn't When Worlds Collide
so much as The Double Life Of Véronique in a modern American setting, with a touch of Hal Hartley melancholy,
whimsy, and an atmospheric indie soundtrack.
In reflection, and having talked to some people about this one, I think it was going for the same surreal
whimsy that Forrest Gump captures, but it fails, probably because the story is too straight forward, too linear and
so contradicts surreal development.
Few can handle the balancing act of
whimsy and family - friendly drama like Spielberg
so The BFG has a solid chance of being pretty damn good.
While the story itself may be a little clichéd, it will not matter too much as the world itself is
so full of
whimsy that it will paper over the narrative cracks.
The bad news is that Cameron Crowe, in an attempt to duplicate the magic of Garden State, has fashioned a movie filled with
so much unnecessary
whimsy and
so little character development, that it implodes into a mess of celluloid.
If the movie grows occasionally tiresome, it's because
whimsy will only get you
so far, and what premise there is grows thin by the end.
Not every level is a hit but there's just
so much clever humour and
whimsy that only the most stalwart of grumps will be left unsmiling.
Entertainment Weekly comment that is «feels like the fullest realization
so far of her already - patented brand of gangly bittersweet
whimsy», while Time Magazine write «Lady Bird is both generous and joyous, but when it stings, it stings deep.»
In his promising career
so far, Nichols hasn't leaned on comedy too much, and while this film certainly cribs from Spielberg in some regards, it doesn't carry over any of his
whimsy.
Phantom Thread has the stately pace that is
so often found in Anderson's films, but it also has quite a lot of
whimsy to it as well, making for his funniest film since Punch Drunk Love.
So yes, the
whimsy is gone.
