white batter bread the other day and had mediocre results (I think I let it rise too long).
Just set the
white batter bread to rise — I realise a lifetime has passed since this recipe was first posted, but
bread - making is new to me (or rather, I'm new to
bread - baking) so finally decided to start with something that seemed simple.
In class one, we focused on pan
breads:
white, honey whole wheat, cinnamon / raisin swirl, chocolate / orange, oatmeal and a
white batter bread.
I tried the
white batter bread but 1 tablespoon was WAAAY too much salt.
just made the
white batter bread.
Also, the
white batter bread's crumb looks so tender and melt - in - your - mouth delicious!

white bread used to build this beauty are dipped in a Parmesan - enriched egg - and - milk
batter, then cooked in butter until the
bread is super crisp and golden.

I swapped half the
white flour for whole wheat flour, which made my
batter turn into a thick dough... so I added about 1/4 cup of mango juice which literally made this banana
bread perfect!
Gently deep - fried in fresh
batter; individually pan-fried in butter and lemon; and sautéed
breaded fillets, using homemade coarse fresh
white bread crumbs (Panko works, too).
