This recipe looks so good, and I want to try it for my birthday cake... EXCEPT, I'd like to make it a white / yellow cake.I can't find any good paleo

cake today and it was as good as it looks... but having said that, I have to say that I didn't
use the buttercream
recipe you put with this
recipe as a true buttercream
uses egg
white... so I made a swiss meringue buttercream and added the caramel to it and it was outstanding!!!

You could, of course,
use a store - bought
white frosting for the edge of the
cake, but since you only need a small amount of frosting, the clone

white vinegar in place of the egg.

using matcha powder rather than green tea leaves this time.

First off I doubled the

white vinegar to the milk and let it stand for 5 mins (this makes it buttermilk) and I
used vegetable oil instead of butter plus I added 1 Tbs of Vanilla extract.
However, there are still a number of things about Emeril's
recipe that aren't healthy choices like the
use of
cake flour, refined sugar,
white salt, and nonstick cooking spray (yikes).
I've successfully
used coconut flour or almond flour instead of
white flour or whole wheat flour in many
cake, cookie, muffins, and bread
recipes.
The
recipe uses a combination of
white chocolate and
cake batter whipped cream to make the ultimate funfetti taste shine through in this No Bake cheesecake.
I Love red velvet
cake, and this
recipe sounds great, but I was wondering if it would be good to
use white cake mix and orange food coloring and maybe orange flavoring....
This
recipe uses a lot of egg yolks, so if anyone is interested I can give you a
recipe for a
cake and icing that would
use up the extra whites, or you could make yourself an egg
white omelette this weekend.
