I used an 18 ″ x 24 ″ sheet of
white foam board and cut out the large piece of gray felt I got from the fabric department at the
craft store so that it would wrap around the
foam board at least an inch on all sides.

All it took was some more burlap, a stencil with leaves,
white craft paint, a
foam brush and some masking tape.
I removed the eyes with a screwdriver and painted the beak with
white craft paint and a
foam brush.
Once glue was dry, I removed the clamps and applied a «
white wash» look using a
foam brush and multi-surface acrylic
craft paint.
I used a small
foam roller and a tiny
craft brush to get around the edges by the
white trim.
