At my own house, I infuse the sea into my style through the use of ships, maps, sisal rugs on dark stained wood floors, antique white plantation shutters, and creamy white serving dishes surrounded by seashells.

I had so many white / silver / glass dishes, so I didn't go out and buy many at all.

My table setting isn't at all complicated: some greenery left over from cutting our cedar hedges and the extra branches from the Christmas tree, some white and red Ikea lanterns, silver chargers, printed napkins, and everyday white dishes.

In the kitchen at Skylands, Martha created her own Great Wall of China by taking every white dish she could find out of the cupboards and putting them on display.

By spraying everything white and attaching the animal with strong glue, you have a vintage looking butter dish that would be perfect at any farmhouse table!

I found assorted white bunny dishes, cousins to my favorite white bird dishes, at HomeGoods a couple of weeks ago.

A set of simple and inexpensive white dishes (such as these I picked up at the dollar store for $ 1 each) as well as these neutral colored table linens (that I bought at Homesense) compliment any table setting.
