Traditionally, you use sanded
grout when the
grout lines are going to be 1/8 ″ or larger but if you're going to recreate this look, I highly recommend using
white UNSANDED
grout.
The man who is going to install it isn't available for about 3 weeks, but
when he does come over to work on it, I'm going to have him leave just a liiiiiiittle bit of the (ivory - colored)
grout we're using on top of the bricks so that they really look
white - washed... kind of like the inspiration photo I put together a while back:

When working with
white or lighter colors of paint — you may not see any unmixed
grout.
