I don't use gluten - free
mixes because the majority of those
mixes are made of starches and
white rice flour, which don't have any nutritional value.

For Crunchy Granola Bars, combine 1 cup finely ground nuts, 1/2 cup granulated sugar (coconut palm sugar, light brown sugar and / or
white granulated sugar), 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats, 2 cups puffed
rice cereal in a bowl and

The original recipe did call for a

white and brown
rice, so I'm sure it would be good that way.
I saved a bit of the yogurt marinade (before adding it to the pork) and drizzled it on the meat after grilling... served it
white rice (made with 1/2 coconut milk, 1/2 water) and a
mixed green salad... a lovely summer dinner for company!!
Onions do burn a little and that
mixed with chicken juice makes the most amazing «sauce» over
white rice.
In a large

I substituted 2 cups of an all purpose GF flour
mix http://alittleinsanity.com/all-purpose-gluten-free-flour-
mix-recipe/ for the tapioca and
white rice flour in your recipe (since these were both in my
mix).
I also like to
mix brown
rice with
white rice or Quinoa.
The basic blend is so, so simple though (just superfine
white rice flour + potato starch + tapioca starch / flour) that I don't mind
mixing it up when I need it.
Instructions: In the bowl of a stand
mixer, add the tapioca starch, sweet
white rice flour, superfine brown
rice flour, gelatin and salt.
Anecdotally, this is how I made Squash Risotto for four: * In a large saucepan melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, scallion or leek for a few minutes / then add 1 1/2 cups Arborio

mix / continue to sauté for five minutes along with a finely chopped teaspoon of sage or rosemary, stirring often / meanwhile, in another saucepan heat 2 1/2 cups of stock or plain water to a simmer and hold / add 1/2 cup

rice mix and let it cook away until liquid almost disappears / add a teaspoon of salt and more if needed when risotto is done / begin adding simmering liquid 1/2 cupful at a time, stirring until liquid is nearly cooked away / add additional liquid 1/2 cup at a time and, once again, stir and allow to cook until liquid is almost gone before adding more.
Yesterday I had a warm breakfast bowl with a combination of steel cut oats and Bob's Red Mill gluten free hot cereal
mix (it has corn meal, whole grain brown

white sorghum, and buckwheat).
Also instead of buying the flour and
mixing it, to save more money I buy a bag of brown
rice (15 lbs) for $ 9.99,
white rice (15 lbs) for $ 6.99 and sweet
rice (5 lbs) for $ 2.50.
I used a bag of gf flour I'd
mixed earlier (no idea what was in it, possibly some of the awful
white starches) and added 3 oz of brown
rice flour to make the 8 oz... Also used almond milk since that was what I had.
