wax, though it definitely has a
white look to it in the jar — I haven't noticed any yellowing, though I suppose it could
as the years pass.
However, my idea was to add some detailing with
white wax,
as one would with dark
wax, to the nuances of the wood.
In fact, you can mix the paint and
wax together for a different look
as opposed to dark, black or
white wax and it gives an awesome affect.
I've never worked with
AS white wax but my guess is that your guess about it being an issue between the poly and
wax is spot on.
Hi I'm in the middle of doing my whole dining room set in mineral paint I used raw silk (antique
white) so far chais and bottom of table are done need to do china cabinet curio cabinet and a side bar the top of table of sidebar will be stained but the chairs I used black
wax to enhance the flowers on back of chairs china cabinet has
as well but going to use everyday
as dining kitchen table is there a sealer that I can use for sure that won't yellow I'm scared to try

I agree wtih you Sonya that Arles looks great with dark
wax or toned down with some
white and it is a perfect accent color on your lovely media cabinet — love the way you added it to the legs
as well.
Something I wanted to share now though, is that when you sand prior to
waxing over a dark Chalk Paint ™ color like Graphite (
as I have in my photo below)... you will get this residual
white chalky look.
I bought an armoire that has a beautiful coat of
AS old
white and a coat of
wax but it is much to yellow to stay the way it is.
