There's also no evidence that someone
who's
eating enough calories to maintain their weight will suddenly lose fat if they «optimize» their hormones.
They're quick, easy, and generally tasty, which is why they're especially popular among «hardgainer» types
who have trouble
eating enough calories to steadily gain weight and size.
Most people
who claim to be bulking are really not
eating enough total
calories in a day.
If I had to guess, I would say that these folks might have tried a plant based diet for a short period, and like so many people
who do, they didn't
eat a large
enough volume in order to get
enough calories.

eat enough food and they don't lift
enough heavy stuff and those are 2 of the big mistakes.
