Also having alot of the ball doesn't equate to goals scored and games won... Roma drew with Barca but guess
who had more of the ball....

its not really atheism or religion that I
have a problem with, its the hate, control, and fear that goes along with it that I
have a problem with, you say that those
who are spiritual are into new agey, crystal
ball, stuff, see that's what I'm talking about, you assume to know what something is about when you don't understand something you naturally fear it, your self righteous clouds you, don't you get that by being narrow minded in your view towards things, you really act no better than religious fundamentalists, being spiritual is a lot
more than just the new agey, think positive all the time that you think it is, its about being aware
of who you are?
I'm by no means a religious person, but if he

has been pass the
ball without any idea and without winning any mayor throphy for the last 12 years... so let alexis do what he do... he can lose
balls, but he scores, he creates, he fights, give us beautifull moments
of football, and better than all, win us games... a team with 11 ozil does nt win games... with 11 alexis yes... so stop demanding
more ozils and to criticate alexis... it is not a coincidence that ozil always looks for alexis, its because he knows alexis is the man
who can transform him from the most creative player to the assist king, and again, better, eho can help him to win games (i love ozil and he is a winner, do nt missundertand me)..
Per is very slow, I wish he was faster atimes but ppl under rate him a lot and please football is not all about pace; Per plays with his brains and we tend to applaud players
who play with
more aggression unfortunately he doesn't; I will use an eg, if it was Per marking Hazard instead
of Koscielny in
d build up to the chelsea penalty, he
would have probably gone backwards trying to stay on
d right side
of hazard so he doesn't shoot and narrowing
d angle so that our goalie easily picks up
d ball, that's how Per plays and to me that's subtle but intelligent option in that scenario but that style
of play doesn't get plenty credit.
Jack

Clearly there will always be awkwardness on the offensive side

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we
have a whole bunch
of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all
of them
have never shown any consistency for
more than a heartbeat... Sead,
who I'm including in this category because
of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I
would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox,
who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to
have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he
has no intention
of staying... Ramsey
has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he
has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox
have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players
who couldn't make any
of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both
have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to
have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far
has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he
has some skills to provide the long
ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the
ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence
has been
more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure
has been directly related to the failure
of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez
of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Who whips in

New coach: Anthony Lynn Previous position: Bills offensive coordinator / assistant HC Previous HC experience: Bills interim coach (Weeks 16/17) Why: The Chargers» focus at the outset was less on hiring a coordinator — a play - calling head coach
who would take care
of one side
of the
ball — and
more on finding a leader
who would set the tone for a program.
Besides several teams
who have questions surrounding one or possibly two players, there is no squad that
has so many issues heading into the final week
of the transfer window... even Monaco,
who have lost numerous players from their starting 11
have less controversy swirling in and around their club and they
have champion's league play to contend with this season... just think
of how ridiculous this situation is especially considering that we
have had the same manager for over 20 years... no team should be better organized than ours... if nothing else, that should be the one advantage this team holds over all others, yet the exact opposite
has occurred... this fact is even
more disturbing considering the main argument against removing Wenger from his managerial position was that there was no suitable replacement and that people feared some sort
of perceived drop - off if a new manager was brought into the mix... based on what we
've witnessed since the time
of his contract renewal a monkey with a magic eight
ball could
have done an adequate job... I hate to make jokes, in light
of our current dilemma, but this team is so screwed up if I don't laugh about it, the only plausible response is to either cry or do something incredibly destructive... just look around this squad and try to see what our delusional manager sees that allow him to make such positive statements about our current team
Do so, fast going forward, put
ball behind the net... We are
more experiment overall than Man city in term
of play, manager, club; we suppose to beat them even with guardiola
who has not proved anything.
Leicester City's style
of play (Long
ball) suited Vardy and thats where the majority
of his goals came from and if Arsenal were to adopt to that style then surely Walcott,
who has more pace than Vardy,
would be the better option.
If Ramsey AND Ozil are both
more focused on being in the right place for when someone else wins the
ball back then we
have to central players
who are not defending, leaving
more for Xhaka
who isn't the most agile
of players.
Our 3 back is just so wrong. We don't
have natural wingbacks even in this formation. It also seems to me that lots
of people here believe if you're good at right or left fullback then automatically you're good at RWB / LWB which quite frankly is untrue. That's why Oxlade Chamberlain can be considered at RWB but not right back.At RWB or LWB you're asking too much in terms
of attack from Bellerin and Kolasinac.A proper wing back can be viewed as a
more defensive winger which quite frankly none
of them are and they don't possess the flexibility too to play that way.Our midfielders are also not disciplined enough because in 3 back there's a huge gap in the centre
of the field that must be covered by our CM's so indiscipline only means disaster. We also
have Ozil
who looks like he's playing at RW in 3 back.In that we're limiting his impact because Ozil takes on his man because he wants to not because he likes to.You can't play such players at the wing. He's a proper No. 10
who likes to be given freedom. That's why Ozil plays likes he's lazy on the
ball and stuff. It's because he wants to be free and for that you need to put him at No. 10.
They
have added Tiemoue Bakayoko,
who is a very strong player, a strong
ball - winner, similar to Nemanja Matic, maybe less
of a distance runner but
more of an impact player — but certainly they will fight for the championship again.
That fifteen game drought occurred just as Alexis got back and Alexis
who has always

A man
who has built a church and three houses — with an elementary school, a playground, a
ball field and
more houses to come — for the impoverished people
of Manoguayabo, his hometown in the Dominican.
We
have won trophies since ozil
has been a member, but i am one
who believes we
would have won without ozil being a part
of our team, a lovely passer
of the
ball, but thats it, he is just a lovely passer, but still Cazorla
has more assists than him, ramsay
has more goals and sanchez provides
more threat to a defense, ozil at most times is closer to the opponents goal than all three mention, but does not offer as much as any.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play
has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out
of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few
would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't
have the personnel to move the
ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through
balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we
have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi,
who seems to
have any prowess in the offensive zone or
who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out
of our own end (I
have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might
have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi
has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the
ball... from our backs out wide, we
've seen pace from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play
of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he
would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the
more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago,
who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the
ball too long, gives the
ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I
've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long
ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a
more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and
has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he
had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we
have Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out
of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he
has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual
would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens
who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I
would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I
had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it
would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we
've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the
ball too long and he will give the
ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he
has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger
has traditionally employed that
would even suggest such a player
would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he
has some special skills and, at times,
has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask
who would be our best starting 11, I don't
have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Although I
've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to get played by this club even worse than at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits,
who represent a considerable proportion
of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger
has mailed it in for several years now or that things are going to get much worse before they get better... why
would they... many
have spent a considerable sum buying some
of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to
have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the time invested... to many
of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack
of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those
who already felt pretty highly
of themselves... many might not even
of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending... as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they
would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but
of course it will be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering
of anarchy, it scares the shit out
of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than at those
who really perpetrated this act
of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments
have gotten
more vile in recent years is out
of utter frustration... in order for any real change to occur at this club we need to bring as many supporters as possible with us or the big money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's time to focus on the head instead
of the heart for now
Thank you for saying what is obvious. The team's defending problems is
more of tactial than the personnel.I
'd be mad if Wenger got another CB because we'll be getting the same outcome due to his poor tactics.Give Mustafi, Koscielny and Chambers to Simeone and see how they play.We need most important ly a DM and not a CM.Our CM's wil play better and I feel with proper motivation and mangement are good enough. What we lack is a DM
who can drive with the
ball and get himself out
of trouble.
anything but a win will make 4th place an increasingly distant goal... to be honest we should be able to beat this lot woy
has tightened them up but hardly turned them in to big hitters but i do nt think wenger can motivate the team anymore so its all about whether players show up on the night... wilshere needs to get on the
ball more partnered with elneny
who is probably the most reliable
of a hapless riumvirate, kosalinac and debuchy given roles in a back 4... if sanchez wants to showcase his skills i can see a 2 1 victory... otherwise could be looking at another embarassing loss... pathetic that we
have fallen to this level
of speculation
Hes a jedi but i agree we need cazorla back or player like him or rosicky or song and coquin wasnt song
who can still play with the passing
of the other players in the team xhaka is usually good on
ball but so bad off
of it hes been a bust so far we almost need the french connection again they
have quality players we could use but honestly i think auba will be
more effective on flank pnce we get laca back it takes alot
of strength to play up front in the premier league it takes two years to rebuild in pl at least bit we
have had two rough years and not nearly as rough as chelseas or man u or Liverpool or well this is as big as totteham will be before we make them drop down again and oh do nt forget man city either lets remember our history
Anyone
who has followed Danny Welbeck's Manchester United career will be aware
of the fact that Danny is lethal playing down the left - hand side and can also provide
more work - rate in that area
of the pitch, while Olivier can effectively hold the
ball up upfront.
I agree with you that AW
has done some astounding things for the club, but he
has also made some reall
balls ups and week in week out it seems he is not able to offer up a tactical plan B or utilise key players in key positions against the relevant sides we play, (not starting with Rosicky and Walcott on Saturday was one such instance) I realise that no team wins all their games and I know that we
have been under the cosh for quiet a few years now, but what annoys me
more than anything else is the lack
of Visible ambition, we spent three weeks messing around with Beliek and only just managed to get Paulista
who was an uncertainty due to a work visa.
Wenger lost the plot when he brought in Giroud... what about the beautiful game involves
having a lumbering striker
who's main attribute is holding up play... our success with Wenger, and even before, came with pace and clinical striking up front,
having a boss in the midfield and
having physically imposing CBs... what about Wright, Bergkamp, Anelka, Henry or RVP remind anyone
of Giroud (minus the left foot
of course)... the formula was broken, which didn't
have to be the end
of our success, but when you adopt half - measures you can't expect things just to work themselves out on their own... at the very least Wenger should
have brought in some wingers that can consistently cross the
ball and then spend significantly
more time addressing our lack
of success with set pieces... ultimately this is why we continued to struggle with consistency and continued to constantly play people in the wrong positions
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil
has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you
have to bring
more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player
has to possess a
more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends
of the pitch, but they must
have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best
of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what
has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out
of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that
would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla,
who took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the
ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment
has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do
have some empathy for the man because he
has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he
has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone
who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they
had a chance to do something special, but they didn't
have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
Navas
has started in fine form for City this term and is a similar style
of player, offering a little
more in the way
of pace and directness, which could be important in a Barcelona side full
of playmakers
who prefer to get the
ball in deep areas to link up play.
Ozil & Cazorla didn't get a whole lot
of space to work with today, those through
balls that appear against teams
who commit
more people forward were cut out today by Chelsea
having people back there.
Their Sylvia Pankhursts were their great golfers
who could not fail to be imitated by other women and to be admired by the men: Mrs. Dorothy Campbell Hurd, a Scots girl,
who (circa 1910) won the Scottish, British, Canadian and American championships; Cecil Leitch, the first woman
who decided that there was no reason a woman shouldn't attack the
ball forcefully like the best men players, and
who did so with such a natural dash; the incomparable Joyce Wethered,
who succeeded Miss Leitch after World War I as the queen
of the British links and is remembered as the most consummate
of women stylists; Glenna Collett, the pertinacious girl from Providence, the first great American champion,
who won our national title six times between 1922 and 1935, and in
more recent years such superb players as Patty Berg and the majestic Babe Didrikson Zaharias
who «made» women's professional golf after she
had become in 1947 the first American to win the British Ladies Championship.
They
have added Bakayoko
who is a very strong player, strong
ball - winner, similar to Matic, maybe less distant runner but
more of an impact player — but certainly they will fight for the championship again.
Bellerin, s main asset is his speed which invariably gets him out
of trouble defensively. His positional sense is lacking and technically he is a poor kicker
of the
ball, hence his wayward crossing.Maitland Niles
would in my opinion be a
more than adequate replacement. If Arsenal are offered # 50m for Bellerin I
would take the money. As for the adverse comments regarding Ramsay despite being injury prone, many
of the top teams in Europe will be interested in him if he decides to leave Arsenal. He is exactly the type
of attacking midfielder needed by Man Utd.When fit he is a very fine attacking midfielder
who is
more effective than Wilshere in my humble opinion.
We need goals everywhere in the side Giroud is the platform to build off the wall pass the man
who occupies the centre half's, the attacking mids are there to join in with him and we need our left and right forwards to arch there runs from out to in for Ozil to slide
balls in for them after Giroud holding it up or Ramsey to slide the passes or arrive late himself we need to share the goals round the side
more instead
of this nonsense
of let's find a 30 goal prem scorer which no team
has either lol Giroud is contributing well for us
of course he misses chances what striker doesn't.
@akin I think Wenger should stick with gab n koscielny coz they
had a bad day due to poor performance from arteta and
d full backs.they'll both b
more comfortable with coq Caz n rams, and then bells n Monreal.my concern, which is that
of all
of us is converting our chances.do u know
who I actualy think can rescue us?RAMSEY!yea as odd as it sounds its rams
who can get into those positions on his days n put
d ball @
d back
of d net.Alexis lion should also find it good if Chelsea uses azpillicueta in place
of ivanovic.I see us beating chelsea
Ozil kind
of has to be built around as his skillset requires others to play off
more than Cazorla's,
who can create magic on the
ball very well and is just
more adaptable to nearly any type
of player.
They controlled the
ball 17
more minutes than the Bears,
who had led 43
of their last 44 regular - season opponents in possession time.
33 attempts at goal 75 % possession and lose comfortably it can only happen to arsenal it
would be funny if not so tragic and I'm for one not buying the reason we lost is because
of De Gea it's as much poor finishing as it is great goal keeping
more aggression with the chances and you score I don't care
who's in goal just smash it doesn't
have to look pretty and I don't
have to say very much about the defending it's schoolboy stuff all this talk about koscielny (bosscielny) never got that isn't physical enough to be an Adams or Campbell gets muscled off the
ball far too often he's a good player don't get me wrong but he ain't world class and definitely isn't a leader I
'd replace that whole back line and drop xhaka and ramsey for new signings yeah ramsey set up a nice goal but that kid can not hit water if he fell out
of a boat his shooting is awful always sky's them very frustrating player.
Xhaka,
who I like, or at least I like the Xhaka
who plays for the Swiss national squad,
has shown to be in way over his head in the premiership...
of course he showed late in the year that he can stretch the field with the long
ball but our squad isn't really set - up for that style
of play... most
of his long passes are in the air not on the ground and our squad without Giroud, which should
have been sold the minute the transfer window officially opened, is one
of the smallest in England... we need someone
who can pick out the runs
of our forwards in the lanes and
who is fast enough to come forward into space without conceding his defensive responsibilities... we rarely see him shoot or even be in a position on the field to do so, we rarely, if ever, see him used for set pieces and it appears that the only person at the club
who has ever coached him up when it comes to tackling is Coq, which explains his atrocious disciplinary record... maybe it's me but didn't you see him coming in and contributing
more from an offensive perspective, with his killer left foot, than a deep - lying midfielder... if that wasn't the case we are the stupidest team alive for taking him over Kante
Ozil needs to be played
more centrally if we hope to benefit from his creativity with the
ball and Welbeck's first touch is far too sloppy to be played along side Lacazette... we need to find a formation which allows
more service to those making runs from the middle
of the pitch... Lacazette can not play so much with his back to goal or we're simply playing the same unsuccessful offensive scheme we played with Giroud,
who is much better in that type
of role... I can only hope we keep Sanchez and purchase a true defensive midfielder then switch to a 4 -4-1-1, which allows us to
have Ozil play
more centrally with Sead and Sanchez on the left side and Ox and Bellerin on the right, which
would stretch defences so much that we could overwhelm most opponents with both runs in behind and overlapping runs out wide
For all
of Romos faults the guy
had the
balls to take a lot
of calculated risks, he got burned a lot by it but he created much
more good than bad when he did it... It seems like the Cowboys got scarred by all the late game INTs Romo
would throw when trying to come back then vastly overcorrected to a guy
who takes damn near 0 risks.
