When I
read this, I couldn't help but
think of my colleague Chris Matyszczyk,
who's kept tabs
on all the nickel - and - diming policies airlines have instituted lately — from reducing the amount of food they serve to charging you to sit with your children.
After
reading and
thinking about all of this, I stand by my (relatively) broad definition of an entrepreneur — namely, that anyone
who takes
on the risk of working for him or herself is (at least one type of) an entrepreneur.
Anyways, congrats
on being one of the few
who have already adopted crypto payments, I just figured i would pass
on my

reading this post.
It's not that I don't feel like I can, I can... but is that in the vocabulary of the one
who I worship, if it's not then why would I as His Son want to take
on what is not His, my Father's nature... The versions of the Bible I've
read seem to
think that words are powerful and speaking them is an action and can even change physics if used properly... Again, the scriptures speak for themselves and circumventing the topical study with christiany cliche come - backs doesn't answer or annul anything that the Word has to say
on the matter.
After
reading several of the posts
on the «interpretation of mythical texts into a book called the bible» one is left to wonder how a being
who is supposed to have created the universe would permit what is often referred to as «his inerrant words»... to get so screwed up... you would
think he / she / it would have been keeping a close eye
on a book that he / she / it wanted to have in print for... mass distribution... it is not not a womder the bible is messed up the way it is... it is a «human» construct... only humans could mess a book up that badly... gods do nor make mistakes... except for Rick Santorum
I actually enjoy (and deliberately
read and listen to) some of the visionary
thinking that you decry (probably a few preachers
who are
on your hate list).
Me personally would like to believe so and I do.If there is not god life is pretty pathetic if your

who says no this is how something is or this happened exactly like this I know for sure (ha ok)...
On another note instead of acting like you really do know everything maybe broaden your horizon and try church or
read the bible and give God a chance.
... i know your book says don't believe anything else before or after to protect its place in history, but just as you would
read greek mythology and have incredulous
thoughts about multigods ruling the earth water and the undergrounds, those
who are not stuck
on your wavelength,
read your mythology and
think how anyone in their right minds could ever fall for those idolatric stories... your belief in your creationist god is as unfathomable as an adult looking up the chimney and feeling the power of Santa Clause in them... does the power of Santa Clause compel you?
After
reading, reviewing, and writing
on Hannah Arendt, I have come to
think of her, fairly or otherwise, as a special voice, one of many» they range from Thomas Mann to Karl Jaspers to Marlene Dietrich»
who came through the fires of hell called Nazi Germany with their consciences intact.
I was
thinking about this earlier today, so it was with great appreciation that I
read the following comment
on the blog of Alan Knox,
who was quoting Arthur Sido at his blog, The Voice of One Crying Out in Suburbia:
Personally I stumbled
on the
thought of what you have labeled universal forgiveness (I didn't have a name for it) when I was
reading the book of John and John said» Behold the lamb of God
who takes away the sins of the World» This inspired my
thought and made realise that THIS WAS THE GOODNEWS.
I'm looking to eventually teach theology, but in between my personal studies, an obsessive
reading habit, and spending far too much money
on coffee, I started a blog called New Ways Forward as an outlet for some of my random
thoughts and a way to interact with others
who share a passion for theology, Biblical studies, and social justice.
I know some Christians that
think the decision about
who goes where is actually up to God and that God is not limited or constrained by what some people 2000 years ago happened to write down
on paper or what more recent people
read into those words.
With that
thought in mind and with encouragement from Harish -
who has published more than a dozen books
on Indian spirituality - I decided to try for an arranged marriage in India, where this system has operated with a high success rate for thousands of years and is still the dominant marriage system, as anyone
who reads an Indian newspaper's matrimonial section is sure to discover.
David - thank you for this post - sometimes we fall into the trap of
thinking that we are the only person
who feels this way about church» membership» - so good to
read your

And they were able to
read it in language written so that anyone, even, as Tyndale wrote, «the boy
who driveth the plow,» could understand it.1 The Word became, as Ong says, silent.2 That silence has had profound influence
on the way we
think about religious language, but it is well to remember that when those translations into the vernacular were made, they were not written down in the language of print.

read of people protecting (saving) persons

a christian
who is born again and knows Gods presence knows Gods love and just how much God loves us, by
reading the bible we see how God loves us, i
think its better to focus
on how much God loves us than
on how much our sin was so bad, cause God saw through the sin!!
When you
read in the Bible about proclaiming Jesus as Lord, following Jesus, taking up your cross, eternal reward, inheriting the Kingdom, life in the Spirit, faithful living, and
on and
on and
on, the author
who wrote that text was primarily
thinking of how we should live as followers of Jesus so that we can experience the life God meant for us to live.
Hausman had taken a more standard line
on Bergson, although in the dialogue below it will be clear that Hausman is pondering in a preliminary way the very questions he has answered above.1 It must be clear to anyone
who has
read Hausman's paper above that his view regarding Bergson has now changed, and I
think greatly to his credit, and to Gunter's.
one should
read Revelations chapter 17 and 18... and you will see what God really

Moving
on, I've quite enjoyed what I've
read of your
thoughts (and His)

Religion being used against us does not mean religions are wrong but those
on charge of ruling

think and observe creation with all that relates to it.

And it is ironic that Mohler,
who has been a tireless advocate for young earth creationism
on the basis that «the straightforward and direct
reading of [Genesis] describes seven 24 - hour days,» does not seem to
think that a straightforward and direct
reading of Jesus» teachings regarding violence is necessary.
all I can
think of today is what I saw in yesterday's news, about the former paratrooper turned preacher at an Independent Fundamental Baptist church just outside Ft. Bragg, N.C., that told his congregation they should break their sons» wrists if they catch them doing the «limp wrist», or give him a good punch... and all the kids that have committed suicide because other kids have picked up
on messages like this and bullied them till they couldn't stand it anymore... we are the only bible some folks will ever
read, and if they get this kind of message, well,
who'd want to be with a group of people where you are grudgingly tolerated, if not outright hated, and all this in Jesus» name... it also says that the churches will do just about anything to keep people obedient and unquestioning, so they will continue to give, and so the big donors will continue to give, so that the doors at Monster Megachurch can be kept open, and the lights
on... David, this is one of your «less is more» toons here... a minimum of elements that says so much....

«WE HAVE THE VICTORY» For those struggling with
thoughts of unforgiveness and attacks
on the mind especially deceiving
thoughts and doubts these are from satan in the word they are called fiery darts we are to quench those darts by faith so we need to
read the word and believe that Gods word is true.We also have the victory over these
thoughts because when we accept Jesus the holy spirit dwells within us so satan does nt have authority over us he can not rule what belongs to God he can only deceive. We can not defeat the enemy in our strength we need the holy spirit when we try and overcome him in our strength we struggle especially with our thoughs and in the area of sin.If you are having evil
thoughts or doubts commit your way unto the Lord and let him fight your battle.Tell the enemy he has no authority over you that you are under the covering of Jesus Christ and when you have doubts memorise verses
on faith ie greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. The holy spirit is just like Jesus talk to him be friends with him he helps us to live like Christ and gives us the power to do it.We are overcomers more than conquerers through Christ
who strengthens us.brentnz
i can feel love for him throughout my heart and soul... i want to grow old with this man... i am 47 and he is 45... he has never been married... he said there is not a chance of getting back together again regardless of how we feel towards each other because we committed adultery and God will never forgive us and it will be wrong to do so... so am i supposed to go
on living my life being so deeply in love with this man i can never have... why would God put him in my life to make me feel so spiritually happy, so wonderful, so at peace with myself and someone I can finally worship Him with just to take him away from me... I've never been with someone
who was so religious and i
thought this was it... i finally have someone to
read the bible with and go to church with and put God first and share things with my self and my daughter as a loving relationship would be....
Is it possible and after
reading about it i kept
on thinking «i will sell to my soul for 20 carats get out shut up i will never ever sell my soul to you oh god please help me and this is continuing for a few days i am afraid that i have sold my sold to the devil have i please help and still i
think god's way of allowing others to hate him us much worse even you know and can easily
think think about much better punishments like rebirth after being punished for all the sins in life and i am feeling put
on the sin of those
who committed the unforgiviable sin (the early 0th century priests) imagine them burning in hell fire till now for 2000 years hopelessly screaming to god for help i can't belive the mercy of god are they forgiven even though commiting this sin keans going to hell for entinity thank you and congralutions i
think the 7 year tribulation periodvis over in 18th century the great commect shooting and in 19th century the sun became dark for a day and moon was not visible
on the earth but now satun has the domination over me those
who don't belive in jesus crist i used to belive in him but now after knowing a lot in science it is getting harharder to belive in him even though i know that he exsists and i only belived in him not that he died for me in the cross and also not for eternal life and i still sin as much as i used to before but only a little reduced and i didn't accept satan as my master but what can i do because those
who knowingly sin a lot and don't belive in jesus christ has to accept satan as their master because he only teaches us that even though he is evil he gives us complete freedom but thr followers of jesus and god only have freedom because they can sin only with in a limit and no more but recive their reward after their life in heaven but the followers of satun have to go to hell butbi don't want to go to hell and be ruled by the cruel tryant but still why didn't god destroy satun long way before and i
think it was also Adam and eve's fault also they could have blamed satan and could have also get their punishment reduced but they didn't and today we are seeing the result
I
think often we
read ourselves as Jesus and others as the Pharisees too — I don't
think I've heard many sermons taking what Jesus says to the Pharisees as a direct challenge to us, as opposed to assuming that we're
on Jesus» side and confronting those
who disagree with us.
@Christine I
think your second paragraph hits the nail
on the head for a lot of us

If you are truthful with yourself and want to settle this «thing» about God...
read Romans and then I would suggest the Gospel of John... I can truthfully say (and I once
thought as you and many others

on these «religious» blogs)... I am so believing in this Jesus dude that I really can not imagine living my life without Him.
People may differ as to how to combine the apparently contradictory things

reading Tribes by Seth Godin, which is a fantastic book

In a way Religion is for Dummies...
reading your comments has been true pleasure because I did not
think it was actually possible to have a discussion with someone
who would post a comment that stupid

Thought I might be the only person

I
read this article by charisma magazine which i
thought was well written which is pro Women preaching http://www.charismamag.com/blogs/fire-in-my-bones/16851-why-i-defend-women-preachers This debate is an
on going one John Piper
who i respect as a bible preacher believes that scripture is clear women shouldnt have authority over men or teach in the church some go as far as saying women shouldnt preach in sunday school if the classes are mixed.Personally i
think times are changing and i say that because i have a women manager she has authority over me and other men so if we follow the biblical example i shouldnt allow myself to be in that situation which is just crazy
thinking.
