say that they're wrong and explain why to anyone
who has questions.
Those
who bash Christ based on ignorance of what he actually
said (not is so called followers) lack credibility and are usually hypocritical of a lot more things in their lives than the
topic of religion.
On the
topic of democracy and its current re-conquest, I am on the side of those
who are prepared to
say that the start of democracy is the invasion of those places where decisions are woven.
If, as many believe, God directed the people
who wrote the Gospels as to what they should write about, if God thought it all that important to tell all future generations what Jesus had to
say on this
topic, why did he not direct the writers of the Gospels to tell us what Jesus
said?

They are largely filled with very sarcastic people
who don't really care if what they
say is related to the
topic or if it even makes sense.
In the book, I argue that it makes sense that if there's a God
who loves and there's a God
who created sex — which is an interesting idea in of itself — that what God has to
say about this
topic is important, and common sense actually supports the New Testament as it relates to sex.
The difficulty was, that to
say so, even for a scientist with the factsat his fingertips, was to go against a powerful and intolerant conventional wisdom: «We liberals», he wrote, «
who work in the fields of global HIV / AIDS and family planning take terrible professional risks if we side with the pope on a divisive

When I
say let's agree to disagree on how we see this

Obviously, we're biased, but finding a few magazines
who say smart, trustworthy things about
topics you care about is still the most reliable way to maintain an evolving, informed perspective of the world around you.
Perhaps now others can continue with the actual discussion at hand if your rabbit trails haven't succeeded in silencing everybody else

topic and perhaps need to write more, since leaving «church» often results in a real struggle — a struggle to explain our actions to former «church» friends and perhaps to family, people
who are determined that following Jesus means parking one's butt in a pew in a building that has a sign out front that
