Only a mature, paschal faith — an Easter faith — can perceive
who Jesus is, understand what Jesus
taught, and grasp what Jesus has accomplished by his
obedience to the Father.
Those
who teach this view have some verses which seem to indicate «salvation» lasts forever, but those
who are opposed to «Once Saved, Always Saved» point out numerous verses which say that «salvation» depends on continued
obedience, faithfulness, and good works.
Even among those
who have not been entirely scandalised the celibacy, the commitment to prayer, the
obedience to authority and the lack of status and financial remuneration stand in stark contrast to everything they have been
taught to value.
Nevertheless, what would we say of a human parent
who taught a son
obedience through the mangling torture of a cross?
But I want now to indicate three facts which I have encountered in my experience as a teacher,
who, because he came to that function by way of the parish ministry, has never been able to have an immediate and lively sense of vocation save in relation to the church and its
teaching and preaching
obedience.
It is easy to see how satanically attractive such
teaching could be; and it is easy to see how those
who propagated it would take to themselves a conscious superiority, contemptuous of those
who still allowed themselves to be shackled and constricted by
obedience to the moral law or to any other kind of law.

teach your dog to charge after other dogs, animals and even people; e.) are hard to control once the dog is at the end of the line, and can get caught in the leashes of other dogs, increasing the potential for a biting or attack incident; f.) do NOT cause the dog to get more exercise on the walk; g.) can cause a dog to run away from you, because if you accidentally drop the leash handle, many dogs will run from the plastic handle «chasing» them from behind and that could cause your dog to run into traffic and die; h.) have resulted in injuries to dogs and owners.
Quick to learn and usually eager to please (though he definitely has his independent moments and must be
taught who is in charge), he responds well to
obedience training that utilizes food and praise more than jerking around.
Running buddy programs pair energetic dogs with local runners, and prison programs benefit both animals and humans by pairing dogs with inmates
who help
teach them basic
obedience skills to increase their chance of adoption.
