Orca's sword training game is one of the most tedious heart pieces to get in
the whole Zelda series.
However, despite being clearly inspired by
the whole Zelda series, it had yet to grace any Nintendo system at all.

Combing the hack - and - slash gameplay of the
series with the lore of
Zelda was, in retrospect, a masterstroke; it unlocked a
whole new generation of potential Musou fans and perhaps even awakened a few lapsed
Zelda followers, too.
Metroid Prime for it's time was jaw - droppping, DKC returns is awesome as well, i think they can add a new flavor that will help the
Zelda series as a
whole, evolve even more.
As a
whole, the plot itself isn't terrible, though it feels more like an excuse to bring all of the
series» most famous characters together, rather than a story in it's own right, not that it really needs to be anything else. Eiji Aonuma described it as more of a celebration of the
Zelda series, rather than a proper entry, and at that it succeeds wonderfully.
As per recent comments by Nintendo, this model could be intended as a general representation of Link meant to represent the
Zelda series as a
whole for brand recognition purposes

Similar patterns were seen in other popular gaming
series like The Legend of
Zelda and Castlevania where, also, the second game in the franchise changes almost the
whole concept of its predecessor, and then the third game returns the
series to its roots and improves almost everything from the original game.

It's at once a throwback to the ideals of the original game and a major step forward for the
series as a
whole, marrying
Zelda's magic and charm with the scope of an Elder Scrolls game and a simplified version of Dark Souls» RPG elements.
The Legend of
Zelda: Tri Force Heroes may not be an awful experience, but it certainly marks a low point for the
series as a
whole, and that's a shame.
What's more is even though
Zelda BotW tried new things for the
series, none of these were new to games as a
whole.
In the game, you take your nicely - animated Link through several biomes inspired by Breath of the Wild (and the
Zelda series as a
whole)-- there are forests, caves, desert areas, a haunted graveyard, etc..
The game has already become the second fastest - selling
Zelda title to date, and it's been lauded as a radical direction in the
whole series, largely because of its open - world exploration mechanics that's implemented ingeniously.
Breath of the Wild is not only a reinvigorating surge of pulsating energy into the
Zelda series, but a masterful reinvention of the open - world genre as a
whole, incorporating elements of fundamental realism and meaningful progression that were simply not present in the examples of yesteryear.
The most infamous of these titles were a
series of Legend of
Zelda games that graced the system, and that are widely regarded as a low point for the
series as a
whole.
The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a
whole new beast when it comes to the
Zelda series, and as such there are things to remember and take care of that you might not be used to — like staying warm or cooking food to eat.
This
Zelda title is often described as one of the best
Zelda games and introduced many parts of the
Zelda mythology such as the sacred sages, the parallel worlds, and even the concept of Pieces of Heart that became popular in the
series as a
whole.
