I just cut open a huge pomegranate last night and have 2
whole cups of
arils!

I like to layer up the mousse with some
whole pomegranate
arils for a little freshness and crunch to balance the creaminess.
I have since enjoyed pomegranate seeds (
arils) on yogurt, in salads, cooked into pancakes, and in
whole grain side dishes like quinoa, farro, wheat berries, freekeh and sorghum.

Didn't have AP flour, so used sprouted
whole wheat as well as red pepper flakes instead of Aleppo (must get), minus the
arils.
I assumed the pomegranate
ARILS were there mostly for show, but they really tied the
whole thing together.

arils as they are also called, are perfectly suited for juicing or eating
whole on salads, yogurt, or as a topping on any other food you love.
You can either grab a
whole pomegranate and cut it open to harvest the
arils, or you can buy a package of fresh
arils, in the refrigerated produce area at QFC, near the berries.
