I literally received a
WHOLE box of
cereal in my
box.
I bought a
box from
Whole Foods in the
cereal aisle.
I just got a
whole box of that
cereal as a sample from the GF Expo this past weekend.
I like snacks that are temperature stable (won't spoil), such as a peanut butter (or other nut butter) and jelly / honey on
whole wheat /
whole grain bread with a
box of milk, or a baggie of dry
whole grain
cereal, dried fruit and nuts.
Cracottes, granola bars, dried fruit, weetabix
cereal, portable one portion applesauce, unsalted nuts and seeds,
whole grain bagels, small
boxes of 100 % fruit juice,
whole wheat tortillas,
whole grain muffins, peanut butter,
whole wheat crackers, fresh fruit (bananas, apples, pears), small yogurt drinks, calcium fortified orange juice, cheese, milk in small cartons or bottles.
You can mix and match the flavors, with the most affordable (although, we do use that term lightly here) being their
Whole Grain Oatmeal and Multi-grain
Cereal box set.
How about replacing processed foods like waffles, buns, tortillas, pitas, bagels, and
boxed cereals with organic, sprouted,
whole grain breads and hot
cereals that are digestible, provide actual nutrition, and give energy to growing and developing bodies?
A lot of «health» food carbs that come in a
box or bag - like breakfast
cereal, instant oatmeal, white or
whole wheat breads / tortillas, most condiments, and many snack foods - are all a processed version of a
whole food, and the processing alters the nutritional density of that food.
Quinoa, spelt, amaranth, and Kamut are hitting
cereal boxes, along with traditional
whole grain oats, wheat, and brown rice.
For that first competition, I was on 60 % carbs including pancakes,
boxed cereal,
whole grain bread, and pasta - so I guess you can toss out the idea that it's impossible to get ripped on high carbs although high carb is NOT the contest diet I use today.
This is why
whole grain
boxed breakfast
cereal is shockingly even more toxic than cheap
boxed cereals made with white flour — because
whole grains are higher in protein.
I would eat
whole boxes of
cereal, 1/2 gallons of chocolate milk, and donuts for breakfast, along with whatever else I could get my hands on.
This

Whole Grain and Calcium» check of approval?
