First I measured out a half cup of
whole flax seeds but
after I ground them up it was more than half cup, so I only used a half cup of the ground and refrigerated the rest.
After I added the eggs,
flax meal, and cinnamon, I added 2 Tbs of finely shredded unsweetened coconut, 2 Tbs of finely chopped pecan pieces, 1 Tbs of
whole flax seeds, 1 Tbs of walnut pieces.
I bought a bag of
whole golden
flax seed at Trader Joe's for $ 2.99, and
after making this recipe, had about 1/3 of the bag left.
