In the video
above, Carla demonstrates her mom's famous chicken marinade: shallots, garlic (with the skin still on), quartered lemons, fresh rosemary,
whole peppercorns, olive oil, and chicken
pieces.
Although they do not juice leafy greens as well and some produce they are generally less expensive, they are fast and you can put in bigger
pieces of produce in to juice — for instance, an apple will need to be quartered for the
above single gear Omega juicer, but can be put
whole into most centrifugal juicers.
And while it probably feels like I described the
whole movie and gave away most of the story, the
above piece only covers the first half of the film!
So students end up practicing meaningless
pieces to score well on quizzes without developing a sense of the
whole game, like the kids mentioned
above who can do the computations but don't know what operations to use when.
By picking one specific area of only one of the spheres (surface temperatures), while it might be one
piece of interesting information and it certainly it is quite true that surface temperatures have been flat at or near record high levels, focusing on this fact alone and the fact that climate models failed to have forecast it, does very little overall good if the goal is to educate the public about the bigger picture, i.e. anthropogenic climate change as an energy imbalance affecting the
whole Earth energy system, including all the spheres discussed
above.
