I painted
the whole piece with warm white first and sanded it smooth.
I do know I sealed
the whole piece with clear satin poly three coats.
Finally, I waxed
the whole piece with Miss Mustard Seed Antiquing Wax.
I created a rustic top with some pallet wood cut to size, then to age the newer wood and marry it to match the vintage, I doused
the the whole piece with some homemade vinegar stain.
I sanded
the whole piece with a palm sander to remove the current finish, vacuumed all the sanding dust and chipping paint and then I washed the piece down with denatured alcohol followed by water.
