The whole theme of the film is for Kate the teacher to get Charlie the doctor back but just about everything that can go wrong does.

What #Horror never quite figures out is if it's trying to be an allegory for the dangers
of social media, an actual horror
film, or a lesson on why pre teen girls are **** Those
themes never mix with each other in a cohesive way and instead battle each other throughout the
whole movie.
There are a few «tells» to the
film that make it somewhat predictable in certain respects, but the movie explores the world
of tells and bluffs enough to make it a
theme, so if the
film as a
whole does the same, perhaps it's not unintentional.
The
film's Exorcist -
themed pre-title sequence is probably the funniest stretch
of the
whole series, but the main plot — with the gang from the first
film tricked into staying at a haunted house — lacks whatever inspiration there was in the first one.
It's consequently not difficult to see why Election is now considered a classic high school comedy, although the presence
of several decidedly adult
themes (ie lesbianism, adultery, etc) ensures that viewers over a certain age will probably get a
whole lot more out
of the
film than teens.
Adults may squirm a bit in reaction to the
film's
whole - hearted embrace
of its
themes of love everlasting and life eternal, but the content seems just right for their less - disillusioned youngsters.
This simple line
of dialogue contains within it a clear summation
of the
film as a
whole, including its core
themes and contradictions.
Blame its proximity to the similarly
themed Olympus Has Fallen (which, on the
whole, received similar critical reaction but comparatively more box office success) if you will, but having watched and enjoyed the heck out
of the
film last night I believe at least some
of the blame lies at the feet
of Sony's marketing.
Viewed as a
whole, these three
films provide a sophisticated representation
of modern
themes dominating the national mindset.

of the most entertaining and potent actioners

film ultimately faring a
whole lot better than the majority
of Hollywood's similarly -
