One of the first companies that actually offered a complete
wide body kit for the original
Lamborghini Gallardo was German based IMSA, their Gallardo GTV evolution showed
wide front fenders, deep side sills and
wide rear wheel arch extensions covering bespoke wheels made for IMSA complete with central locking system and upgraded brake systems... add the front spoiler and an impressive, angular rear wing and you would end up with a V10 Gallardo that looked good and offered improved braking power at the same time... initially without engine tuning however.
We're back at putting
wide wheel arches on cars, the time when German tuner Koenig or Rieger were the «masters» in this area is long gone, several tuners offer «
wide» versions of their
body kits, and IMSA now offers a
wide body kit for the
Lamborghini Gallardo.
A good way to start is to take a
Lamborghini Gallardo and build a very special
body kit around it, complete with very
wide fenders, large wheels and a massive rear wing.
That's right, the predecessor to the
Lamborghini Huracan isn't bound to be forgotten if Kato - san can help it, and with a total of 14,022 Gallardo having been built in Italy the market for a
wide body LB Works kit is larger than any other
Lamborghini kit they offer (about 4,000 Murcielago, over 4,000 Aventador and over 3,200 Huracan up to date)... so an LB Works Gallardo makes perfect sense for an artisan like Kato - san.
Now if the
wide body styling and 1,300 hp Twin Turbo engine isn't impressive enough we noted something really special and rare on this car... take a closer look at the interior... that is a complete Versace interior, remember only 20 units of the
Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Versace were ever built, 10 in white and 10 in black... all came with a special plaque between the seats stating the Versace link.
The clear carbon fiber rear wing is present, as are the vents in the
wider front fenders... yes, the IMSA GTR is a
wide body kit for the
Lamborghini Murciélago.
Well - known Novitec Torado has taken the
Lamborghini community by surprise with their latest aerodynamic kit called the N - Largo... when the first scoop was published of two people uncovering this bright blue
wide body V10 it was believed this could be the street legal version of the Huracán GT3 race car, a hard core Huracán Superleggera perhaps... but it turned out this amazing looking Bull isn't an official factory prepared car but a perfect sample of how tuning can be made to look like it came straight from the factory... so I would say Novitec did an amazing job here.
