The side remains the same, save for the revised alloy wheels, while the rear gets the more
upmarket wide taillights, revised bumper and tweaks to the boot - lid.
But the 2016 Nissan Altima does look quite different from the outgoing 2013 - 2015 model, as it gains Nissan's V - motion front grille and angular headlights with boomerang - shaped LED accents up front, and a new rear fascia with
wider taillights out back.
The new grille has been inspired from the Elantra and makes it look part of the same family The side remains the same, save for the revised alloy wheels, while the rear gets the more
upmarket wide taillights that seem to have taken inspiration those on the Creta, along with the revised bumper and tweaks to the boot - lid that now sports chrome garnish.
Some TT influence is also displayed in the curved roofline which tapers to a rounded rear end
with wide taillights.
A curving roofline lowers the car's height behind the rear doors, where the liftgate bears tall,
wide taillights.
The top - trim SX model being shown at the reveal also has the same large foglights from the Sorento SUV, and
the wide taillights in the rear take cues from the Kia K900 luxury sedan.
The side profile, meanwhile, will feature flowing lines accentuating the wheel arches and flowing directly to
the wide taillights.
The design sticks closely to the current MY2015 Optima, including a wide «tiger nose» grille connected with the headlights from side to side and
a wider taillights at the rear end.
Again, the rear profile takes a lot of influence from the smaller GLA but brings a few new design elements to the table in the form of
the wider taillights and a new tailgate.
