This handsome, widescreen movie doesn't try to reinvent the genre; in fact, quite the opposite.

widescreen transfer appears to have paid fine attention to colour saturation, but that doesn't mean the
movie's Technicolor looks any more vivid than, say, an episode of «Emergency!».

does a superb job of initially drawing the viewer into the proceedings, as the filmmaker has infused Miss Bala with an engrossing and consistently inventive visual style that proves impossible to resist - with the
movie's striking appearance heightened by Mátyás Erdély's often jaw - dropping camerawork (ie fans of
widescreen cinematography and / or long takes will be especially captivated).
The bonus featurette and the growing trend amongst Disney Channel
movies both suggest that the
movie was framed for both fullscreen and
widescreen and therefore, a
widescreen presentation
does exist.
16 × 9 are good for
widescreen movies, but is sucks for pretty much everything else
done on tablets, like web browsing or reading stuff.
I don't want a
widescreen tablet because I don't just watch
widescreen movies.
